Everybody Wants To Rule The World~ Kylo Ren Fan Fiction

Chapter 1: The Awakening

Walking along the resistance base after dark gave me some feeling of peace. Ever since the tragedy 8 years ago, I could never go a night without nightmares that plagued your memory until one day it seemed as if they had finally stopped. However the peace was short lived, they came back, seeing the dead bodies of my fellow Jedi's in training and the temple burning to the ground has come to haunt me again, shaking me to my core. I was the only one to make it out alive and my master Luke Skywalker was no where to be found after. General Leia Organa had taken me under her wing after that night, however training was difficult for me and her as the years went on. The general was never much of a force user and her knowledge was slightly passed the basics, so I was stuck with what I knew which was only the basics for a 15 year old padawan teachings.

The sun began to rise over the moss ridden base, people starting to fill the hanagr when I felt the hair in the back of my neck stand up, a disturbance in the force. Spotting Poe Dameron a fellow pilot I ran to him as fast as I could, "Poe! Poe!". Reaching him slightly out of breath he looked at me concerned, "Ara, what is it?". Feeling something massive coming I could only point to the sky seeing what you thought was an illusion, it was the millennium falcon with general Organa's ship close behind it landing.

I was too stunned to move at first, last time I saw the millennium falcon was after that night. As the ramp lowers I saw a man coming off the ship wearing Poe's signature jacket and then BB-8 rolling behind him, with joy I yelled for the cute white and orange droid. Seeing the droid move as fast as it can toward me and Poe, Poe instantly runs towards it hugging it and rubbing the small head. Following behind to greet Poe's long lost companion.

BB-8 rolls up to you making happy beeping noises as you pet the little guy I look up to see Poe hugging the stranger, "I got thrown from the crash. I woke up that night. No you. No ship. Nothing! BB-8 says you saved him!". Letting them get to reunite again I walk towards the millennium falcon feeling the pull of the force, then I saw him. Han Solo. Running towards him I engulf him in a hug, he was like a father to me most of your life considering your parents died when I was young fighting the rise of the first order. Pulling back a-bit finally seeing the man who had developed a lot more grey hair, "Han it's been too long!" feeling tears leave my eyes Han's expression softened even more and he wipes the stray tears away, " it's good to see you too Ara". Chewie comes up behind me pulling me into a tight hug laughing, "it's good to see you too chewie!!".

After the reunion Han and chewie went back on the ship to work on it and General Ograna walks over to me, "Ara there is somethings we need to discuss, follow me".

With that I trail behind Leia into the ground communications area that was a stress atmosphere as always with everyone running around. I'm mid discussion about the new weapon the first order has made, Poe rushes in, "I'm sorry to interrupt general but this is Finn, and he needs to talk with you". Leia and I turn around to face the pair, Leia already with full attention, " and I need to talk him. That was incredibly brave what you did. Renouncing the first order to save this man's life." Hearing this sent chills down your spine and you are instantly lost in thought.

He was with the first order? They are raised from birth to only serve the dark side, I don't feel any bad intentions coming from him. Something is not sitting right... maybe it has something do with be- kylo ren...

Lost in thought not hearing the rest of the conversation, a hand on my shoulder pulls me out of it. Looking to see it's Poe's, he nods his head to the left and you both follow the group to the hologram station. C3-PO informs that the map is only partial, I look up confused as the map pops up on the hologram not recognizing that solar system. Seeing it C3-PO informs us that the map has no connection to any of the known galaxies in our system or anywhere else just as I thought. Leia looks upset at this news and I place a gentle hand on her shoulder as she tries to find something familiar on the map, "Can't believe I was so foolish to think I could find him and bring him home..." Leia talks lowly feeling the disappointment rise in her. Giving her shoulder a squeeze and looking down at the older women I give a small smile, "we will find him Leia we just need to find the other pieces, it'll just take a little more time...". Leia gives you a nod and feeling bad for the older women who is desperately trying to find her twin brother that disappeared 8 years ago. Han sighs, "Leia...", automatically Liea gets upset with him, "don't do that." Leia walks behind Han as he asks, "do what?" And with that Leia mutters "Anything". Han follows behind her trying to talk to her but I know nothing good will come out of it.

Following behind to hear the conversation I hear them talking about Ben, hearing his name puts another nail in my heart. It was hard for them loosing their son to the dark side but it was just as bad for you too. Loosing the man I only ever felt love for was breaking, for months after you couldn't eat, sleep or move outside your room knowing the man I loved is out there yet not at the same time. Leia sensed me near by she beacons me over, whipping the tears Han pulled me into a side hug. They both knew your involvement with their son and they were always so happy seeing you two together when they visited. Leia looked at both of you, "there is still light in him, we need to bring him home".
