Lance pov

I was shaken awake by my lovely boyfriend. He smiled when he saw me awake. He kissed my lips softly.

"Goodmorning Cariño." I said, smiling.

"Morning hot stuff" he replied.

"You know, I never thought I would wake up next to you." I said. He smiled.

"Not going to lie, same. I mean I never thought that this could ever be possible" he said, gesturing between us. I nodded.

"Yeah. I'm so happy it happened though" I said, kissing his nose. He scrunched his face. I laughed. He smiled, looking down. I lifted his chin with my finger.

"You ok?" I asked.

"When did you start liking me?" He asked. I was taken aback by the question. I got flustered and started stuttering.

"Well, I-um....I've liked you since the Garrison." I said quietly. Slightly looking away. Keith looked surprised.

"What? But you always competed with me. I mean we were like rivals." Keith said. I hesitated.

"I thought I wasn't good enough for you. At first I tried to be your friend, but you didn't like me so I tried to be better so you would be impressed and like me." I explained. I laughed softly. "It never really worked. Keith grabbed my face with both hands.

"What do you mean I didn't like you?!" He asked. I was startled.

"Well when I first talked to you, you ignored me." I said, avoiding eye contact. "I introduced myself and asked for your name and you looked at me weird and walked away." I said.

"I had never had friends before, besides Shiro and Adam. I didn't know how to react to that so I went to ask Shiro for advice and he told me I should have answered you. But you were really cute and I chickened out." Keith said, laughing. I laughed and hugged him.

"I'm glad you didn't hate me." I said.

"I'm glad you tried so hard." Keith said, laughing. I pouted.

"You're too cute when you pout." Keith said, smiling. I blushed and looked away. Keith kissed my cheek.

"Heyyyy" I whined. "I'm supposed to be the helpless romantic" I said. Keith and I both laughed hysterically.
