Chapter 2, The Emeralds Take Over

Tails POV

"No!!!" I yell as shadow throws the emerald in the capsule, There was an explosion it threw me sonic, and knuckles, back but shadow stood in the same spot.

A ball of energy forms and A humming noise fills the room shadow turns behind him and the energy pulls him in I rise to my feet and ran towards him, sonic grabbed me stopping me from going any further. shadows arms amd legs were consumed already, he managed to pull his arm out as he choked out the words "help... me!!!" he screamed has the ball of energy completly consumed him.

the energy ball then got smaller but closed in on shadow he fell to the ground he got up and there was something different about him. his eyes were pitch black with red pupils visible in the eyes, they dripped with blood and his smile was full of jagged sharp teeth my ears drooped and he just, stared at me. then, he lunged at me, he tackled me onto the ground and revealed his mouth full of sharp teeth I tried to get up but he stayed on top of me and then drived his teeth into my stomach I screamed and kicked him off of me, sonic helped me up and led me to the tornado while knuckles dealt with shadow.

Sonic grabbed the first aid kit from the plane and took out the bandages.
"am I going to be okay?" I said to him, sonic looked up at me and smiled, "of course your going to be fine buddy" he said to me with motivation I couldn't help but smile. I got up and then we went inside to help. knuckles he was laid up against a wall groaning sonic went towards him and saw that he had bite marks everywhere on his body. shadow stared at me, his teeth were soaked with blood and I kept A stern look on my face. he lunged but I doged it this time he looked back at me, his smile bigger then ever and then he closed his eyes and A black fire cover his body, this time his body was a black fire with his features to able to be seen. specifically his mouth and eyes I was careful because I could feel heat emitting from him.

he lunged and I barely dodged it, if I was gonna defeat this guy, I was gonna need A weopon but while I was thinking shadow began to change again, the building crumbled and sonic hobbled knuckles out of the building, I ran out as well and the place collapsed, is form this time was scary, his body was simply A spine and spine bone coming off it his hands were attached to the spines coming off the spine on his body, his head was just a skull. with black fire on the back in the shape of his quills.
we all stared up in shock he was about 90 feet tall. he let out a loud roar and I noticed something shiny in the rubble once shadow moved out of the way i rushed towards it and grabbed it. it was a picture of shadow and a, girl.

Shadow POV

all I could see was my body doing things I didn't want to do. I noticed the fox was holding something when he saw me he dropped it and ran away "I" picked it up and it was A picture of me and maria. And then I remebered what maria said to me when she died. "shadow I need you to promise me that you will never hurt A soul, find someone to love, make friends, but don't make your life full of guns, revenge, and violence, and please don't forget this message, it will be very important later in your life"
my eyes waters maria wouldn't have wanted this, it started as much as I could to free myself, until I noticed the chaos emeralds attached to cords, I went towards them and started ripping the cords out of the emeralds, and after I disconnected the last one the place started to rumble, and it started to crumble, when I was expossed to the air I fainted.

Tails POV

it crumbled. I could see shadow falling and without really thinking I ran out and put out my arms. shadow fell and I caught him, He was surprisingly light for a big hedgehog like him. sonic and knuckles came over and I looked at them and simply said "we need to get him to A hospital, now".
