My first ever imagines book was made in 2020 which didn't go well, my second lasted from 2021 to now (2022) and Wattpad fucking deleted it so, yea. Now I'll be working on restoring and creating new imagines/short stories/oneshots. BRRRRR

In a small, quaint little cabin in the middle of the woods, laid a lovely couple. A man named Nathan and a woman named Samantha had owned it with their two children, Y/N and Tyler.
Nathan was a lumberjack, spending many hours chopping away at trees and stumps while Samantha stayed at home with the children. Although Nathan wanted her to find something to do in the neighboring village, she liked keeping them company while he was away. Nathan was glad that she wanted to be there for them, especially after he had raised them by himself for many years. Their mother passed when they were young so the children just had their father until Samantha came into their lives.
Nathan had been trying to do what was right for them at that point. Despite his grief, he raised them to know right from wrong and be their best selves. But he couldn't raise them alone for long, the loneliness eating away at him. So when they turned twelve, he decided to get back into the dating scene, going on speed dates with many women before meeting Samantha one day. She was a, then, newcomer in town and was an apprentice of the local tailor though she was really there for a "mental vacation" as she called it. Raised by a wealthy family that usually traded many expensive goods in town, she was sent to the village to stay a few years as a sort of "rehabilitation" from all of her spending.
Compared to the other women Nathan had dated, she brought this energy that he couldn't help but be allured by. On the surface, Samantha, she was everything that Nathan wanted. A kind woman who didn't mind if her potential boyfriend had a child or two, wanting to show some support for them and wanting to know the children. But deep down, she was anything but a saint.
Hidden under her cheery demeanor, lied her snobby and up tight attitude. She only cared about herself and had a deep rooted hatred of children, but that side of her isn't known to Nathan. She would always put on a fake happy go-lucky attitude and claimed to him her love of children so he would fall for her, which he did. To him, she reminded him of his late wife and was glad to finally be with someone who not only loved him but his children as well.
But now, that happiness would change after they were wed.
Samantha had basically taken over Nathan and the children's lives. Anything they did had to be at her request or overall benefit, even down to the littlest of things. She made all the decisions, including financial ones. She ended up making expensive purchases and horrible selling choices, Nathan even went nearly bankrupt after she bought a 100% pure white wolf coat that cost him three months of woodcutting. She would waste more of his money on overpriced clothing, fancy shoes, and pretty jewelry yet got upset whenever he confronted her about it.
Her anger would then be dished to the children, physically and mentally scaring them just to get her anger out. Yelling and hitting them when Nathan was gone, even locking them in a closet when she had no energy to do either. But the worst of it was put onto Y/N, whom she had a special hatred for. For she feared that the child was "more prettier" than she was as she aged, making the girl do the more riskiest of chores like cleaning the chimney after its most recent fire or going into the oven to clean it.
