"This is your stop guys. I hope you have a safe trip back home." The Taxi driver, gives a small smile. Marie returns a quick smile, before slowly getting out.

I was still waiting for Marie to tell why she was so quiet this whole day; and slow, I might add.

Why is she being so slow?

Shut up, Luke. She's probably tired.

I take hold of Marie's hand, and give her a small smile; trying to signal that everything will be okay. Whatever the case is. She looks into my eyes for a few moments, before placing her soft lips onto mine.

Every. Single. Time.

Her lips are like butterflies resting softly and quietly onto a flower petal. It surprises you, because it's so quiet and sudden. Not in a bad way, of course. a beautiful harmonious way.

"What was that for?" I smirk, pulling her towards me. She rolls her eyes, and lets go of my hold.

"Marie! Come bac-"

"Hurry up, idiot." She rolled her eyes, playfully. I laughed, before following along.

Sour Marie, is definitely my favourite.

After everything was set, we were ready to go. Marie kept fidgeting with her fingers. I noticed that she went to 'Sour Marie' to 'Sweet Marie' in seconds. The difference between them, is that 'Sweet Marie' is always worried, shy or mature. 'Sour Marie' doesn't give a shit about anything. She's more confident.

I love both sides of Marie, but sometimes I feel that she can do things if she has faith and believes in herself. A lot of the time, I like to help her and give her a little comfort push in whatever she choices to do. Whether I like what she's doing or not.

Usually I try and act supporting when I'm not. She can usually tell though. Maybe I make a little too obvious.

"So, Gia and Lexi invited me to a party when we get back home! I'm so excited. I have to ask Mother, but I thought I'd tell you first. Isn't that wonderful?" Marie babbled.

"Yeah babe, that's awesome." I lightly frown, trying not to show it.

"Yeah it- Lukey, is everything alright? You don't look very good." She came and sat next to me, putting her hands on my back, trying to soothe me.

My God, she's perfect.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Why?"

"You look upset. Tell me. I'm all ears." She gave a reassuring smile.

"I just think parties in L.A are pretty shit. Especially after the first one you went to." Marie dramatically sighs, before smiling again.

"Lukey, darling; I promise nothing bad will happen. If it makes you feel better, you're welcome to come."

Mᴀʀɪᴇ:

I felt so bad for Luke. Once he took me to my doorstep, that would be it for him. I recall all sorts of overthinking I had last night, and it definitely wasn't pleasant. I had thoughts like moving to a different school, a different neighbourhood, or a new country.

Again.

Part of myself was thinking 'No, Marie. Mother and Daddy wouldn't sacrifice their perfect lives just for a silly mistake you made, that they haven't yet understood. You'll be fine.'

But the other half....

'Yes Marie. You're in the biggest shit you could ever be in. Once you get home, it's over for you and Luke. You're going to restart your life. Mother and Daddy are definitely capable of doing that.'
