Lᴜᴋᴇ:

A lunch was planned for Marie and I. Was I nervous?

God, of course I was.

I haven't had a proper conversation with her for ages, and I know that if I do something wrong, she might give up on me.

I put on my jacket, while closing my room door. Dad noticed me, and followed up behind me. "So, you know not to piss her off right?"

"Yes, Dad. I know. We're only talking to either get back together or discuss how to act around the group because they can't handle the awkwardness." My Dad laughed before we both headed downstairs.

To my surprise, a lady downstairs was smoking a cigarette, sitting on the bench.

Oh God, please no.

I gave my Father a long death stare, while he grasped my forearm, dragging me into the kitchen.

"Luke, this is Kimberly."

No, no, no.

I cut off the cursing because I know Marie doesn't like it. I'm really trying for this girl, and she better notice it.

"Or Kim, I don't mind." Kim chuckled. I stared at her longly, figuring out what to make of her.

"Yeah, cool. Alright Dad, I'm gone." I walked towards the hallway.

"Uh, bye Kayla."

I did that on purpose.

Mᴀʀɪᴇ:

I was looking forward to seeing Luke. I wanted to talk to him about the truth. What had actually happened, rather than what he thought happened. I was upset I lied, but I was planning on talking to my family as well.

"Are you nervous?" Chloe asked, fixing my makeup. She wanted me to look 'pretty'.

That kind of hurt my feelings.

"Not at all." I chuckled.

Chloe gave me an arrogant look. "Yeah right. You two broke up, on your circumstance. And he didn't even know why."

"Yes, I know. I had to pretend I didn't care for him anymore. When really, I couldn't deal with leaving him." I cried.

It was all true. The pain I had felt for Luke. For nights, I heard from Lexi that Luke would not leave his room for three days. Not even to eat. Lexi had to go and give him his dinner, otherwise Diego or Andrea couldn't enter his room at all.

"Marie; I love you so, so much, so I'm telling you now, you need to own up that you're nervous, in order to discuss it with Luke. If he thinks you're all that confident, it will seem that you're not worried about his feelings at all. Trust me."

I sat in silence for a few minutes, processing what my older sister had told me.

She was right.

And I was nervous. I know we had kissed, but it was a small one. I was still nervous. I was as nervous as a bird when they fly. Like I could accidentally hit a window with my blind eyes.

"Chloe, what if we don't get back together?" I suddenly spoke. Chloe looked at me confusedly, looking for further explanation.

"What if Luke listens to my reason of why we had to break up, and doesn't want to get back tog-"

Instantly, I felt a harsh sensation on my cheek. I looked in the mirror and noticed my left cheek had turned a bright red.

Chloe had slapped me.
