School
How the fuck was I supposed to go to school when my girlfriend won't talk to me? All night I've been trying to text her. Every time I check to see the messages, it's the same thing all the time.
No response.
I head downstairs, after getting ready. I see Dad with Andrea, talking. I sit down straightly and sigh loudly, as I feel tired. I rub my forehead, in the headache I've got from staying up all night.
"Boy, you need to get some rest." My Dad looked over at me, crossing his arms. I stare at him blankly, before eating my toast.
"Come on, Luke. Just get by a few weeks, and see if she's ready. I know her parents trust m-"
"Dad," I pause. Dad raises his eyebrows indicating he's listening.
"Just shut the fuck up and stay out of it." I snap, standing up.

I open my locker before a familiar voice is heard.
Fuck.
"Lucas! Come here now." Lexi calls, grabbing my shirt. I turn around and give her a half smile, shutting my locker. Lexi's eyes become big when she sees my tired expression.
"Holy shit, what happened to you?" Gia comes from a distance. Next to her, is Marie. She looks beautiful.
She's wearing a pink top that's strapless and reaches the top of her jeans. She had white ripped jeans on, with white 270s. She had her hair out, straightened. Her makeup was the same as always, light.
I looked over at Marie, and saw her fiddling with the ends of her hair. She noticed me looking, and gave me a glare. A long one.
Shit, I hate this.
"What the fuck did I do?" I nudge Gia. Gia raises her eyebrows, and punches me in the arm.
"Fuck off, loser."
I look towards Lexi, and she sighs, taking her arm in mine. "Time for a walk, Luke."

Mᴀʀɪᴇ:
I had no motivation to go to school today. I didn't want to. It would mean, I'd have to wake up to my Mother scolding at me, while everyone else stayed quiet.
This morning was very awkward.
"Good morning. Did you loose your attitude?" Mother raised her chin up high.
"Morning. Did you fix that head-of yours?" I shot back at her. Mother rolled her eyes, sitting in her regular spot.
Everyone ate in silence. No one spoke a word. Mabel sat next to me, holding my hand and giving me a kind smile. I knew it was because of my continuous crying through out the night, yesterday night.
I sniffled threw silence, as I sat in my dark room looking at the ceiling. A small knock was heard at my door. I covered my mouth, not wanting anyone to hear that I was awake. The knock spoke up again.
The door handle twisted, as it was indicating someone was opening the door. I swiftly pulled the cover over my body, and pretended to be asleep, wiping some of my wet tears off my face.
The door closed, and I sat up. I saw a figure, and covered my mouth from the little jump scare I had.
"Darling, you look horrible. Are you alright?" Mabel asked, turning on my lamp. I looked at her gloomily. Mabel walked to the edge of my bed, sitting down. She wiped a few tears off my face.
"Oh, Darling. You poor thing, I understand how hard it is going through a relationship."
"It's horrible, Mabel. The worst part is I didn't even want to break up with Luke. I love him, and I have to pretend I don't."
"I know, Marie. I know, it's hard. But you know what I see?" She asked, stroking my cheek.
"What do you see?" I ask, intrigued.
"I see a successful young woman, who will be set free from a very strong and scrupulous family." I smiled at Mabel, who smiled back.
"Mabel, do you think I'll be with Luke again?"
"Definitely. I see something so strong between the two of you. It's like a boomerang, it'll always come back. Whether it's a strong friendship, or loving each other once more, I see it being around a lot longer." Mabel winked. I smiled, and wiped my tears.
"Mabel, I hope you know that you've always been my Mother. Not by blood, but by heart. You're properly there for me." I kissed her cheek. Mabel smiled, and kissed my forehead.
"You've always been my daughter, Maria."
Remembering that moment last night, I made myself realise something. Blood will always be itself. Meaning you can't change who's actually related to you. Whereas, the family you chose to be around, might not be blood. They could be friends, or special people you know.
And that's okay.
You don't have to be related to someone to love them. If you love your best friend, they're still your family. They always be, whether you argue or not. As long as you love them, that's what really matters.

I walked into school, and noticed Gia and Lexi talking away, before getting sight of me. I looked at Lexi worriedly, before she smiled and pulled me to her side.
"What's with the look?" She chuckled. I nervously stared into Gia's eyes, noticing she had an odd look on her face.
That's new.
"Nothing, haha! Come on, let's go find everyb-" I was interrupted.
"We can't. Because you and Luke broke up. It ruined the fucking friendship group!" Gia threw her hands in the air before walking off at a quick pace. I looked at Lexi before following Gia's pace towards Zane.
"Gia! Wait!" I called. I tripped, before a pair of hands caught me.
Luke.
I haven't seen him since, well you know.
"Thank you." I pushed away the stupid blush I had on my face. Luke shrugged, and half smiled. I moved from his grip and continued top follow Gia before Lexi caught me.
"Ignore Gia. She's being a bitch." Lexi came towards his side and nudged his arm.
"Shut up. She's just pissed you two broke up. She found you so...special." She spoke lowly. Lexi then looked at Luke before looking back at me.
"You know, since she hasn't got many people in her life." Lexi stared at Luke, secretly. Luke nodded, his head and the two were off.
What the hell does that mean?

Thank you for reading Chapter 31! I know it's short, and I apologise for that, but I am trying to find time to actually write. I feel that I can become successful with this book, so I'm hoping I'm going well so far. I promise I'll write a longer chapter when I have the time too. Right now, life is all over the place. With school, and other class I have to keep up in.
Anyway, thanks for reading! See you next chapter. Any ideas on what will happen next?
