"Hello welcome to Mistic Cafe! My name is Ito what can I get for you, sir?" I asked as a familiar hero walked in. He wasn't well known since he was an underground hero but I knew him, I was very familiar with him since we ran into each other a lot at night.

"Can I make a tab? I'll be coming here frequently since I work nearby." Hmm, I had heard that he'd be taking his work at UA more seriously but I didn't really believe it much. Interesting.

"Well usually we don't for citizens, do you happen to be a hero, sir?" I watched as the tired man sighed to himself then he pulled out his wallet and a card from within it.

"I am and here is my license." He told me tiredly. I gently reached out and took the card in my hands and punched in the information.

"All set! Would you be interested in a special drink? It would be one of a kind and it will be discounted, as will the next ones as a thank you for keeping us all safe." I informed him as I started to prepare the concoction.

"What kind of special drink is it?"

"Well, my quirk allows me to read stress, tiredness, happiness, and other levels of your body. So I can make the perfect mixture to allow you to level everything and heighten happiness and energy levels." I wasn't necessarily lying since I could do that when I chanted a spell to myself.

"Ha sure I'll give it a try. I mean you are already making it so why not." I finished quickly and gave it to him to taste test it. "Wow, I have never had a drink this good. It's not scorching hot either. Would it be bad of me to leave a tip just for you?"

"Well, I am the only other person who works here so the tips get split two ways. Just to keep it fair. I hope you have a great day Eraserhead! We can't wait to see you again." I said with a bright smile as I tilted my head a bit. I looked slightly like a delinquent due to piercings but at times like this, I looked innocent and I sounded sweet.

"Oh, I can promise you'll see me again. I might bring some friends along next time too. Have a good day Ito." I nodded and waved goodbye to him as he left. I let out a small sigh after he was gone.

I had seen him just last night and we had been talking about some of the things I had done recently. He was concerned for my well-being, I had been focusing on the abuse and suicide cases a lot as of late and he was concerned for my own mental health. Of course, I told him that I was fine and that I had seen much worse, which was true. We had talked for a good hour till I vanished from his sight to rush to an abuse call I got through my earpiece. I probably scared him half to death too since I dropped off the ten-story building we had been sitting on before i vanished into thin air.

No one knew my quirk and Shota was one of the only heroes fond of me and my work. There was him and then a few other widely known heroes that he worked with at UA. According to every report I was told to have a different quirk each time and it didn't help that no sketches or camera footage actually looked the same. In reality, though it was all one quirk with many advantages.

Could I have been a hero? Yes, but I had been told that because it's a spell-based quirk and witch-like that it was something evil, that and the fact that I was still trying to clear my name of murder. I had been bullied for years until I left school and ran away after the murder of my mother. It was a murder pinned on me, or rather the old me with white hair and white eyes. I looked nothing like my green-haired and green-eyed mother. I had never seen my father but I was told my hair greatly resembled his though my quirk was like nothing ever seen.

I had only learned I had my quirk when a book appeared in my room one day. It was a thick book that I had never seen and that my mother couldn't read. She told me it looked like gibber gabber but I could read it just fine and when I reached the end of that book with everything memorized as I learned it, another one appeared. Eventually, I had over a dozen of those books and I had been able to conjure a special safe that only I could see and I stored them away into the safe.

"ku? Izuku are you okay dear?" I snapped out of my head then and looked at the owner of the Cafe. She was the only one that knew I was 16 and she was the only one to hire me as a 16-year-old.

"Yeah sorry Kai, I guess I got lost in thought. Is my shift over already? I'm sorry if I worried you."

"It's alright, you should take the day off anyway. You've been working just about every day, I promise we'll have someone new here soon I have an interview with a few people later today. You have a great day kid, tell your mom I said hi okay?"

I smiled and nodded. "I will! You have a good day as well and call me if you need my help." I felt my phone vibrate and I hurriedly took my apron off and went into the back room to check it. There was a villain attack happening two blocks over and the heroes weren't able to control it. "Bye, Kai I'll see you tomorrow!" I told her as I ran out the door and to the scene. I wasn't in my vigilante clothing and I wouldn't have enough time to start the chant to wear the clothing but I had enough time to chant for my Familiar and a small speed boost.

"Lye (Pronounced like lie) make sure everyone is back far enough from the attack! I'll send over any injured citizens!" I ordered my blue and green lynx as he hurried ahead to do as I asked. I rushed over and looked about, scanning the area. I began to chant a protection spells for those that were around the area and getting pushed back. Again I chanted for something to keep the villain trapped and contained only he was coming at me now upon realizing he couldn't hurt those around him. "Shit," I mumbled as I rolled off to the side and cut off the spell.

"MIND YOUR BUSINESS KID!" The gross green goo man shouted at me.

"Sorry, but I was raised to help where I could." I began to chant again with hopes of confining him and or turning him into a harmless puddle. Once again I was cut off by being grabbed by him though. "Oh come on!" I shouted cutting off the chant.

"You'll make a strong host then. Don't struggle and it will be less painful."

"Yeah no. LYE RESCUE!" I yelled out before having goo forced down my throat. A split second later I was 40 feet away from the guy and coughing out the goo trying to refrain from puking at the awful smell and taste it had left. "Good - boy." I panted out before quickly just chanting a short freeze spell. I had my hands on my knees and was slightly bent over as I looked at the things that was about as tall at the buildings around. "Should have done that at the start," I mumbled out before starting on an encasing spell. The heroes choose that time to finally arrive. "Lye go home, you did a good job boy," I said giving him head pats before he vanished. I quickly casted an invisibility spell and then chanted a short-circuiting spell so any videos of me would be ruined.

"I should have changed my hair color at least. Damn it." I said as I tried to sneak away. Only I realized I wasn't invisible. "Fuck." I said as I thought about the only hero I knew who could stop me from using my quirk.

"Kid, what do you think you are doing? Wait. Aren't you the guy who works at that cafe? What are you doing here?" Aren't you supposed to be at UA?! I questioned frustratedly in my head.

"Well I got off my shift and then the attack happened. I couldn't just let people get hurt so I did what I could to help them. If you're going to arrest me then please get it over with, I have a cat at home that I need to go feed or he gets cranky."

"Cat? I'll let you off the hook for today if you can show me a photo of this cat. If you can then this never happened you hear?" He had pulled me away from the crowd by now and so it was only just the two of us. I shrugged and pulled out my phone to show my lock screen that had me and my Familiar on it.

"I want that cat. Where did you get him? How much do you want for him?" I laughed.

"His name is Lye and he's not for sale. I got him at a shelter four years ago and he's been my buddy ever since"

The hobo-looking man nodded and then turned away. "Go on home then but you will need to fill out a report also I thought you said your quirk allowed you to read stress levels and whatnot of people."

"It does. If you must we can meet up at the cafe tomorrow and I can give you a report." The pro nodded and then turned and walked away as if nothing had happened and I could suddenly feel my quirk's power was working once more. With that, I vanished and was now in my home with a large cat rubbing up against me with joy at having me home.
