The wind ripped through the girl's hair as she ran down the forest floor, leaping over fallen trees and branches. Then suddenly she wasn't a girl anymore. A brilliantly rusty red fox stood proudly in her place, closely followed by a white tabby cat. The two girls turned, fleeing through the night, the breeze angrily tore through them and whistled in their ears.
Soon, another girl joined them. Golden brown hair was braided down her back and green eyes gleaming as though she knew something someone else didn't. The cat and fox both paused, before turning to her, as though they were expecting an old friend. Which they probably were. These were the runaways from Hogwarts. And this is how their story began. The story of the girl with the amber eyes, and how it began for real.
