"Quirkless." The doctor said bluntly.
"What...?!" Inko asked. He face was full of panic. Izuku knew what it meant but he didn't understand. Quirkless? Did that mean he couldn't become a hero?
"Mom?" Izuku questioned.
"Not now sweety, grown ups are talking. What do you mean he's Quirkless!?" Inko asked.
"You see, in revolution, we gained a joint in our pinkie toe due to a mutation. Thus, making us have quirks. Your son doesn't have this joint at all. Just like the 30% of the population that is Quirkless. Just like our ancestors." The doctor explained.
"What will his life be like without a quirk!? Everything involves quirks now days! Everything!" Inko said.
The doctor pulled out a book labled "Quirklessness" and handed it to his mother. "This book holds information about Quirklessness and what it means to be Quirkless. I suggest looking things up online aswel. Learn as much as you can get your hands on for your son. Also, keep a close eye on him."
"Why?" Inko asked frightful.
"Many... many reasons ma'am.... many reasons... you'll know what i mean the more you search." The doctor said.
Inko nodded her head repeatedly while keeping her lips pressed together. She looked upset... did he upset her?
"Thank you doctor. Come on izu." Izuku stayed silent. Trying to grasp the truth. No. He sill wanted to be a hero. Or someone that helps people like his mom does. He wants to help.
When they got home inko sat him down on the couch to talk to him. But before she could actually talk Hisashi, izukus dad, threw the door open. Scaring inko and izuku.
"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN HE'S QUIRKLESS!?" He yelled. Izuku was scared. More scared then he ever had been. He never saw his dad THIS angry. Angry yes, his dad was quite the hot head, but not like this. This was different. And izukus stomach turned at his fathers whole being at that moment.
"...Hisashi... not infront of him." Inko said while looking at the ground. She was scared too. Not daring to upset her husband.
"Go to the park. NOW!!!" he ordered izuku. Izuku was to frightened to stick around. Though he didn't want to leave his mother there, he had too. He'll return by dinner time like always. Home wasn't safe right now.
He quickly ran out of the apartment building and to the park a few blocks away. It was on the edge of town and behind it was the forest. Izuku thought about going to the tree house him, kacchan, (bully 1), (bully 2) and Tsukauchi found and made their hideout there. Izuku didn't feel like playing and just sat on a bench against the bathrooms. No one else was at the park anyways. It was silent. The only sound was the swings swaying in the wind.
After awhile, the sky started to turn cloudy. Making the sky a sheet of light grey. The wind stayed the same. But izukus mind wasn't. His mind went in circles and circles as he thought of his Quirkless. Did his dad not love him anymore? What happened to those "I'll love you no matter what"'s? Did his family become broken because of him? Are things going to continue to change? Was he a monster? Why was he different? His mom says being different is a good thing but izuku didn't see how THIS, this whole situation, was good. Was there a way he could get a quirk?
Suddenly he heard a car honk at him. He looked up to see auntie Mitsuki in her husbands old fashioned car. They weren't actually related but Mitsuki and inko were close like sisters ever sence bakugo and izuku meet. They clicked from the very second they met.
"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE?! SHOULDN'T YOU BE AT HOME OR SOME SHIT!?" she yelled.
Izuku got up and ran over to the car, standing on his tippy toes to look over the door and through the rolled down window. He was very small for his age. Made his clothes look baggy all the time.
