A few months after the wedding Mariano moved into Casita. The family welcomed him with open arms. He helped out and tried to make sure he would earn his place there.

Abuela one morning called Bruno into her room. "What is it you want mama?" Abuela had a smile on her face. "Well you've been with Eulalia for a while now. A little over a year." "Yeah so?" "Well I was wondering when you were going to ask her to join the family."

Bruno blushed his eyes going wide with shock. "W-well it's just I-" "Oh you don't know how? Don't worry I'll help you out. And when she says yes I'll give you both a very grand wedding. Oh it will be a great event for the Encanto. The whole town will be there. My last child getting married Oh how-"

"Mama!" Bruno yelled getting her to stop. "Lo siento it's just, we already discussed it after Dolores's wedding." Abuela looked at her son, "you did?"

Bruno nodded thinking back to that night.

After the party ended and it was really late. Eulalia looked up at Bruno and caressed his cheek. "Hey are you still awake?" He nodded and looked down at her.

"Yeah I've been thinking." She leaned into him, "me too." She sighed, "we've been together for about a year now. I bet your family has been making bets on when we'll get married."

They both wanted to be happier, they knew they did want to be together. But Bruno is a part of the Madrigals. If they did get married Abuela will make it into a really big ceremony for the entire town. And neither of them wanted that.

Bruno finished explaining to his mother what he and Eulalia wanted. "So um yeah." He didn't know what else to say. Abuela tried to speak but knew she would regret what she wanted to say.

She felt hurt, she wanted to see one last big ceremony for her child. The town deserved to see everything. A perfect, beautiful ceremony seeing the final Madrigal triplet married.

But she also knew that wasn't fair on Bruno and Eulalia. They could barely hold out at Dolores's wedding. How would it be if it was their's? They both don't like large crowds of people.

Abuela smiled a few tears in her eyes as she held her sons face. "I'm sorry, you both deserve to be happy. And even though I want to see a big ceremony. That isn't what you both want."

Bruno nodded and hugged his mother. "gracias mama." He ran out of the room to tell Eulalia right away.

Eulalia was about to burst with excitement. "So you mean?" Bruno nodded holding her hands. "My mama agreed to not having a big ceremony involving the entire town. So we can do this however we want."

Eulalia smiled and let go of his hands. "Ok but I do want you to ask me properly."

Bruno shook his head smiling getting down on one knee. "Eulalia, mi amor, will you marry me?" Eulalia smiled and nodded. She didn't even wait for him to get up kissing him deeply.

They fell over laughing on the ground. "I love you Bruno Madrigal." He held her close not wanting to let go. "I love you too, so much Eulalia."

That night the family discussed Bruno's engagement to Eulalia and what the couple wanted.

Their wedding was short and sweet. Just a small family affair. Exactly what they wanted.

"Welcome to the family Eulalia Madrigal!"
