The next day the family went to the church for Abuelas funeral. The entire town set it up for the grieving family.

Everyone was wearing black in honor of Abuela. The family sat down holding on to eachother for support.

Gaël looked around the room hearing several thoughts at once. He was more used to the pain now. Lot's of people loved Abuela and he could tell just how much the entire community was grieving.

People went up to say a few words about her. Lola was discretely trying to use her gift. She wanted to see if Abuela was ok and with Abuelo.

She used her gift and saw something unexpected. Abuela was golden instead of the usual blue Lola saw.

Abuela looked over at Lola and smiled. She walked over to Lola and whispered in her ear. "Lola dear can you do something for me?"

Lola nodded listening to what her Abuela said. Lola stopped using her gift and went over to Mirabel.

"Lola what's wrong?" Mirabel asked confused, "ok I, well Abuela needs you to stand over there." Lola pointed to the stand where the priest was.

"Ok?" Mirabel stood up and Lola led her to the exact spot. "Ok does anyone have a candle?" They were all confused as to what she was doing, and why she was disrupting the ceremony.

Oscar saw a candle that looked like the candle on Abuelas door, just without all of the markings. He picked up the candle and went up to his sister giving it to her.

"Thanks Oscar, ok Mirabel hold this." She gave Mirabel the candle and waited. "Hmm ok?" She used her gift again and asked her Abuela what she should do next.

"Got it," she focused really hard and reached for her Abuelas hand. Abuela began to speak through Lola's body.

"I want to thank you all for this lovely service. Now I don't have long but I just want to say. A new Madrigal shall take my place in running this show."

Lola placed her hand on the candle in Mirabel's hand. "Take care of them for me Mirabel."

The candle began to glow bright as markings made it look exactly like the old candle. Abuela left Lola's body and thanked her.

Lola began to shiver uncontrollably but was still conscious. Bruno went up to his daughter immediately. "Lola are you ok?"

She shakily nodded, "I'm cold." He took off his poncho and wrapped her up in it taking her back to her seat.

Mirabel smiled with a tear falling from her eye. "I'll make you proud Abuela."

The ceremony ended and the family went home. They had a large dinner set up for the entire town. They all noticed that Abuelas door had changed.

It no longer had Abuela holding the candle. It now showed Mirabel holding the candle. Antonio smiled, "Mirabel you finally have your own door!"

She smiled and went inside of the room. It looked exactly the same but now all of Mirabel's things were inside of it.

"I promise to keep our miracle alive and protect the family."
