I can't believe how tonight turned out. I really thought when I told her she would freak out. I didn't expect her to ask so soon though. I got to my door and Ezra was leaning against it.

"I take it from your face that you had a good time with my sister?" He asked as we walked into my room.

"She put everything together." His eyes popped. "I told her the truth, except that she was given to me." "Did she freak out?"

"No, she thought it was sweet. Dude, I'm done with the plan, if at the end of this she doesn't want to be with me, then I'll let her go. I want her to stay because she loves me, not because she was given to me."

"Man, that's very grown-up of you."

"I'm going to tell our parents that the deal is off. Are they still up?"

"Common room." We walked to the common room and locked the door.

"How'd things go sweetie?" My mom asked.

"The deal is off." They all gasped and said "what". "I want her to be with me because she loves me, not because she was forced to. If she ends up not wanting to be with me, I'll let her go. I love her enough that her happiness is all I care about, even if it's not with me." Everyone was smiling, which confused me.

"What made you change your mind?" My dad asked.

"She put things together and I answered truthfully without bringing up the deal. Telling her everything made me realize that all I have ever wanted for her was to be happy and I want to be the one that gives her that, but she won't be happy if she's forced." My mom came over and gave me a hug.

"We've wanted to call it off for a long time, but we didn't want to hurt you, we were hoping you would figure it out on your own." My dad said.

"So, it went well then?" Cat asked.

"It went amazingly. Now, I need sleep. I have a feeling our shopping trip is going to be long." I chuckled. I went to my room and contemplated checking on her but decided not to. Tomorrow, we will be going shopping, so it gives me a chance to observe the things she likes and then the day after is the ball. I don't want to push my luck but I do hope I can dance with her. With that thought, I fell asleep.

"Get up little brother." I felt a tap on my face. I groaned and opened my eyes. "I know that it's not my face you want to see in the morning." She laughed as I sat up in bed.

"Good morning to you too, Gen."

"Come on, I have people to meet. Unless you want me to meet your beloved without you? Oh, momma and dad told me about your decision and I'm very proud of you."

"You won't say anything, right?"

"I would never, though what if your blonde friend does."

"I don't think Elyse would believe her, not after catching her in the act with her mate."

"The parents caught me up on everything, he's a major sleeze ball, but she's okay, right?"

"She seems like she is. I hope she is."

"Well, get up and get ready. I want to meet her!" She said as she walked out of my room. I hurried and got ready, I don't trust Gen to not embarrass me. I got into the common room just as the others got there.

"Good morning Jaxon." She said sweetly.

"Good morning cupcake. Morning guys. Did you sleep well?" I asked her as we walked in together.
