Chapter 6: Be a murder or be a survivor

The chain breaks and the door opens as we see Eric, Reznya and Rook open the door to a store within the city with many of Souichiro's men as they look inside of the store and see a few empty shelves with some foods as Eric turns to eveyone and says to them.

Eric: Alright you all know the drill, grab some supplies we need and return back to base without any bites. Watch out for anything that moves and stick together as best you can. Alright? Alright, now move it.

Souichiro's men moves out to gather as much supplies they needed while Eric, Reznya and Rook stay by the door and guard it while the rest get as many supplies they needed.

Reznya: How long do you think until this city will be wipe clean from supplies?

Eric: (smirk) Who knows. But imagine surprised we didn't encounter a ring around this city.

Reznya: (smirk) You always want me to be surprise do you?

Eric: (smirk) You know me.

Rook: Say do you think these people ever gonan trust us?

The two turn to Rook which he gose on to say.

Rook: These people have shown to distrust us ever since we came to their mansion and help them around. They look at us like it was our fault this all happen.

Reznya: Not to be on their side but it's kinda true.

Eric: But we agree it was an accident. Besides they just have to accept it, we can't change the past and it's time to move on.

Rook: Guess so but how long do you think it will take? How long until they snap and might try to kick us or worse?

Eric: We can handle them when that comes. Besides we're well trained then them. I mean, Y/n did beat those guys up without breaking a sweat.

Rook: Guess your right but still.....do you think there are some that might want to kill us?

Reznya: Maybe but like Eric said...we can handle them. If we work together, we be fine.

(Meanwhile)

Back at the mansion we see rain pouring down as we see Y/n at the living room laying on the couch taking a nap as rain drops taps on the window. He was sweating and his face change to fear as he move around a bit while he mutter to himself.

Y/n: (mutter) No it wasn't my fault. No. No! NO!

He wakes up and sat up of the couch sweating bullets as he take deep breaths as he looks around to see it was all a dream. He set his feet onto the floor as he sit on the couch as he place his hand onto his face while he thinks about the dream while he look at his other hand.

Y/n: (thought) I don't understand. Why was I spared from the infection? How come I lived while my squad didn't. This doesn't make any sense.

Then the door behind him open and Rei came to the room as she walk around the couch and sat next to him.

Rei: You okay? You look like you have a nightmare?

Y/n: I'm fine. Anyways, hey Rei, is there anything you need?

Rei: Actually I want to ask you something. If....If you make a promise to someone as a child but years later you broke that promise. Is there a possibility to rebuild that promise after it was broken?

Y/n: There is a possibility, yes.

Rei: Well it's just that.....when Takashi and I were young, we promise to get married and be together forever. Then years later, when I was told to repeat the grade....Takashi wasn't helpful even though he was and.....I stop talking to him. He was.......I....I don't even know what he was back there but what I do know that I broke his heart when I go on a date with his friend after I broke things off with Takashi. But now......now I just realised that Takashi wants to protect us and now I realise this.....I don't know if i can forgive myself for breaking his heart.
