Friday

The next few years Nadine and Rose got closer. She might even say they were closer than her and Krista. That all leads to the present day. Friday.

Kirsta was telling the girls about a movie she saw the previous night. All of a sudden Nadine nudged Rose and nodded her head in the direction she was looking. Rose looked up and saw Nick Mossman walking by with a group of guys. "God juvie made him so hot," Rose said dreamly.

Nick looked up and made eye contact with Rose for a few seconds while walking towards the school. Krista snorted a laugh and said she had heard something about him.

"He works at Petland now," she said, smirking.

Nadine smiled and said "Rose, you should go in there and be like, excuse me where are the beta fish? Also could you put your penis inside me?" Krista busted out laughing and Rose slapped Nadine's arm while blushing.

"What if you actually did that? What if you actually lost your virginity in a petland?" Krista asked.

Nadine walked up to a trash can and dropped her coke in it while speaking "yeah. All the tropical fish watching you. It'd be all romantic and spiritual"

Krista chuckled at that. Rose's face flushed even more and told them to shut up. She could feel the heat coming from her face. The bell rang and the trio got up. While the teen girls were walking, they saw Nadine's brother. "Oh my god. Look at that stupid shirt my brothers always wearing"

"Oh. You can see his nipples" Krista added. Rose chuckled.

"How does he not realize that all it does is scream I have a body complex worse than a girl."

While Krista and Nadine were talking about Darian, Rose looked over and noticed Nick again. He was sitting down in front of the school on a bench. She was admiring his looks when all of sudden he felt her stare. He glanced over at her and smirked when he noticed it was her. Rose blushed and quickly snapped her head away while catching up to Nadine and Krista. She hoped he hadn't seen her blush, but he smirked even more when he saw her face heat up and then rush off. He started to wonder who the angelic looking  girl was.

Rose walked into class and sat in the back, so the teacher wouldn't call on her as often. She had too much social anxiety for that. Always wondering if the teacher was going to call on her. She started to get anxious just thinking about it. Thankfully the bell rang, signaling class started. Then in all his glory, Nick Mossman walked in. The last person she expected to enter the room. He took the seat right next to her, as it was the only one left open. 

Rose focused her attention on the front trying to ignore him. She could feel him staring at her. Rose hoped she covered up her bruises from last night. Oh god what if the makeup rubbed off. She would be horrified. But Nadine and Krista hadn't said anything earlier, so she thought she would be okay. She glanced over at him and her suspicions were right. He was staring right at her.

"Can I help you? I can feel you staring" She whispered to him. She was surprised at herself. She didn't think she had the guts to talk to him, let alone not even stutter.

"No. I just thought your hair looked cute" he said, twirling a strand of her hair while doing his smirk that looked oh so hot. She just about melted at the words.

"Oh. Thanks. Um..your h-hairs cute too. I mean not cute but hot. N-no no i mean..it looks nice." She said nervously. Whelp there goes trying not to stutter. He smiled and she turned towards the front of the classroom again trying to calm down from the most awkward conversation she had ever had in her life. What she didn't know was he had a tinge of red forming on his cheeks.

"What's his name?" Krista asked Nadine. She was telling them about a cute guy she met in class from earlier. They were on their way to Nadine's house.

"Erwin Kim. You'd freaking love him" Nadine replied. "He's adorable."

"So are you gonna hook up with him?" Rose asked Nadine while smirking.

"No, not like that. Like pathetic adorable. Like I wanna carry him around in a baby bjorn" Nadine said. Rose suddenly remembered her awkward moment in class with Nick. She rubbed her arm nervously while looking at Nadine and Krista.

"What?" They both asked at the same time.

Rose blushed and said "So....Nick may or may not have talked to me in class today."

" What!?? Oh my god!" Nadine yelled.

" How'd this happen?" Krista asked.

"Well...he came late to class and the only open seat was the one next to mine." She said blushing even more.

"He was staring at me, so I asked him why he was staring" Her face started to get even more red if possible.

"He also said my hair looked cute," She whispered shyly.

Krista and Nadine both screamed and jumped on Rose. She laughed and pushed them off as they walked inside Nadine's house.

"Oh! Oh, good, good, good, good." Nadine's mom said as they walked in the kitchen.

" I caught you. I'm so glad. Oh! Do you like this dress? Does it look bad?" Her mother kept saying as Krista and Rose shook their heads no.

" I think it looks kind of bad. It's kind of poofy and...I don't know. Do my arms look bad?" She asked Nadine. Nadine said no in a very unconvincing voice.

Krista and Rose grabbed a bowl of chips and ate a few while Nadine talked to her mom. Apparently she is going on a weekend date with a dentist, so the girls have the house to themselves all weekend. Nadine called Darian and told him that they have dibs on the house.
