Nick watched her walk up to her door and go inside. She was so adorable. He was such an idiot for almost taking it too far. He sighed and started up his car. He glanced over to her house one more time, when he noticed her purse was left on the seat. He chuckled at how forgetful she could be. He decided it wasn't too late to go give it back. He turned off the car, grabbed her purse and got out of the car. He was walking up to the front door when he heard some weird noises. As he got closer to the door he could hear some yelling too. Nick knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer.

"Rose!? Are you okay in there!?" He yelled asking her. He heard some more yelling and something must have fallen over because he heard a loud crash. Nick decided to just open the door, and see if it was unlocked. If she was in danger, he wasn't going to wait around.

"I'm s-sorry! It won't h-happen again. Please let me go." He heard someone cry. He quickly walked in to see what was happening. It sounded like Rose. He then ran over to where he heard her screams.

"I Knew you were a slut! Who'd you fuck this time huh!?"

After the woman's voice said that he heard more screams coming from what sounded like Rose. He ran in the kitchen and saw a horrible sight.

"Hey! Leave her alone! What are you doing!?" he yelled to the woman who was burning Rose's arms. The woman quickly dropped Rose's arms and looked at him.

"Who the fuck are you? Why are you in my house!? I'm gonna call the cops! Get out now!" The woman yelled.

" Oh yeah!? Well I guess we'll see what they do to you when they check out Rose's arms huh?" He told her back.

"Fine. Take the brat. I couldn't care less what happens to her. I just hope I never see her again. If I do she'll be in trouble then!" The woman yelled at him and then walked into another room. He ran over to Rose who was now on the floor crying and holding her arms in pain. Nick hugged her and told her that everything was going to be okay now.

"Rose come on. Let's go grab your things. I'm taking you with me okay?" he told her while gently wiping her tears off her face.

She looked so upset and in so much pain. He wondered how long this has been happening to her. She never seemed to act like anything was wrong whenever he saw her around. She stood up whimpering and led him upstairs to her room.

A/N~ end of abuse scene

"Where's your clothes and some other things you might need? You're coming to stay with me" he told her.

She walked over to her dresser and started grabbing things. Nick quickly stopped her, and told her that he would do it. He was pulling her clothes out of the dresser, when she handed him a bag to put the clothes in. After that, she grabbed some things from the bathroom and a few books. He put them in the bag for her. When it seemed like she had everything he gently grabbed her hand and led her outside to his car. He quickly put her things in the back of the car and then walked over to her. He put his hands on her cheeks and wiped her tears away again.

"It's okay now, Rose," He whispered to her as if she would fall apart right in front of him. " I got you now. You're okay"

Nick hugged her to his body. Her face was in his neck and his hands were in her hair trying to calm her down. He felt her arms wrap around his waist giving him a hug back. After a few minutes of hugging Nick opened the door to his car and let her get in. He walked over to his side and started the car. He turned the radio on to listen to music because he was pretty sure she wasn't ready to talk yet.

The drive to his apartment was silent except for the music in the background. He glanced at her every now and then to make sure she was okay. She just kept her eyes focused outside the window. Nick reached one hand over to grab hers softly. He rubbed his thumb over the top of her hand and then squeezed it gently. He felt her squeeze back.

 A few minutes later they arrived at his apartment. He turned off the car and grabbed her things out of the back. He walked over to her side and helped her out of the car. He then laced their fingers together and walked up to his apartment door. He unlocked it and they went inside. He put her things down in his room and walked her to the bathroom.

"Sit here Rose. I'll wrap your arm" he told her. She didn't say anything, but sat down on the counter by the sink.

He grabbed some gauze wrap and turned the sink on. He tested the water and it was a good temperature. He then gently grabbed the arm that was burned and put it under the lukewarm water. After 5 minutes he took her arm out and put some moisturizer on her arm. Then he wrapped the bandage around her arm and she was good to go. He noticed she was looking at the ground, so he walked in between her legs and lifted her chin up so she was looking at him.

"Do you want to talk about it?" he whispered gently. She shook her head no. He leaned his head on hers so their foreheads were touching.

"Okay. I'm here whenever you're ready" he told her softly. He put one hand on her cheek and rubbed his thumb softly on her cheek bone.

"Let's go to bed, yeah? You can sleep on the bed. I'll go sleep on the couch" He said, helping her down from the countertop.

Nick walked her into his room and showed her where he put her bag. He then showed her the bathroom that was connected to the room.

"If you need anything let me know okay" He said, rubbing her hand and then letting go. "Goodnight Rose"

She walked into the bathroom with her bag, probably putting on her pajamas. He walked over to his dresser and grabbed a pair of sweatpants. He then went into the closet and grabbed a blanket for himself. He was almost out of the room when he heard his name being softly called. He turned around and saw Rose in her pajamas. She walked over to him and reached for his hand.

"Can you...can you stay with me tonight?" She asked quietly.

"Sure. Anything you need" He said, bringing her hand to his lips and kissing it. "Let me get changed and then we can sleep"

He walked into the bathroom and took off his shirt and then his pants. He put his sweatpants on and put his other clothes in a basket. He walked back into the room to see Rose already in the bed. He walked to the other side and got in the blankets.

"Goodnight Rose," He whispered to her.

"Goodnight Nick" She whispered back.

Nick turned off the light and closed his eyes. He could feel Rose scoot closer and grab his hand. He smiled and laced their fingers together. Next thing he knew they were both sleeping in his bed.

A/N- Sorry for the short chapter. It was mainly a filler with some important bits in it. Thanks for reading! There's only one more chapter left. I'm so excited, yet so sad it's ending.
