As the rest of the day passed by we all got drunk off fruity cocktails and beer, and just enjoyed spending time with each other. We planned to go to a nice dinner to celebrate Adam and Christine. We all left the pool area and headed back to our rooms to get ready for our dinner. I opened the door to mine and Austins room and he followed quickly behind. Still feeling the effects of our day drinking buzz we laugh as we try to maneuver around the room to put together an outfit for the night.
Austin starts going through his phone and connects it to the bluetooth speaker. "We need some tunes to continue this party, don't ya think" he says as he plopped onto the bed. "Hell yeah!" I say in response. "Got any song requests for the DJ?" He asked scrolling through the songs on his phone. "Anything but that guy Post Malone, I can't stand him" I say trying hard to hold back my giggles, but failing miserably. "Ouch. You're breaking my poor heart, babygirl" he says pretending to be hurt. "I'm only kidding, I actually really enjoy your music" I say with a smile. "Yeah right, my music's shit" he says still debating on what song to choose. "Yeah, that why you're number 1 on like everything and all of your songs basically go platinum?" I say tilting my head, with a sarcastic grin. He just looks up at me with a shy grin, all cockiness gone. He sure is flirty but can't take a compliment to save his life.
The sound of Yeah! By usher starts playing and Austin begins to do a little dance as he lays on the bed. "Can't go wrong with the classics" he says as he sings along. I laugh at his drunken dance moves and begin to go through my wardrobe. I pick out a cute slip dress that has a cowl neck and a rather revealing slip down the left leg. It was an emerald green that really worked well with my skin and hair color and really made my green eyes pop. I stand up clutching the dress in my hands and notice Austin staring at me, laying on the bed in his swim trunks. Fuck, he looked good. "Your shorts better not still be wet" I say hoping to distract myself from all the dirty thoughts that are running through my head. "Don't worry, they're dry. See, feel" he leans up and grabs my hands as he places them on his thighs. I could immediately feel my cheeks turn a light shade of red. "I- um- I gotta get dressed. And so do you, so pick out something nice" I say softly. I can feel the heat from his thighs in the palms of my hands and I take them away, reluctantly. He stares into my eyes for a few more seconds but it feels like and eternity. I pull myself out of his trance and head to the bathroom.
I take off my swimsuit and rinse off in the shower quickly. I then slipped on the dress and put on a light layer of makeup and fixed the mess that was my hair. As I exit the bathroom I find Austin dressed up in black slacks, a pair of louboutin boots, and a silk black dress shirt that's buttoned halfway up, revealing his chest and the tattoos that decorate it. We both stared at each other for a second before he clears his throat. "You um- you look beautiful Sof." He says, not in his usual cocky manner. "You clean up nice yourself, Austin" I say brushing a strand of hair behind my ear. I walk up to him, feeling rather bold, and bring my hands up to the collar of his shirt. It was slightly twisted so I took this as my opportunity to get close. As I fix his collar I let my touch linger on his broad shoulders. "Ready?" He says softly. "Yeah, lets go."
I definitely felt something there. I don't know what it was. Maybe this is turning into something more than a friendship? Maybe Marine and Christine were right and maybe he does like me? I don't know but the butterflies in my stomach are telling me one thing whereas the little voice in my head is telling me I'm just imagining it.
We get to the front lobby of the hotel where we agreed to meet. Once everyone arrived we walked out the the black escalade that was waiting to take us to dinner. "Wait Adam, did you only order one car?" Christine asked. "Umm yeah? We got 8 people and the car seats 8? Im confused, is there a problem" he says, genuinely confused. "Oh Adam, you're lucky you're cute. Because you are terrible at math!" Christine laughs as Adam sits there still wondering what the issue it. "Bro we got 8 people plus the driver. That's 9" jay says and you can actually see the lightbulb turn on in Adams brain. "Oh shit my bad" he says as he laughs off his mistake. "Its fine! Im sure we can all squeeze in. It'll be no issue, let's just go I'm starving!" Marine says as she rallies everyone into the car.
