Saving Water

"I fucking knew it!" Smitty screams from the deck as Austin and I break apart from our kiss. Well, I guess the cats out of the bag now. I smile at Austin before feeling the redness fill my cheeks. "You owe me 20 bucks," Smitty says to Nick. "What?! I never bet on shit! I knew I would've lost," Nick says laughing as he takes a sip from his beer. "Calm down, calm down" Austin says, as he tries to keep the excitement to a minimum. I look over to see Adam and Christine wrapped in a hug looking at us, with a big smile on their face, knowing that we needed that extra push.

We get up to join the rest of our friends on the deck of the boat and enjoy the rest of our day out on the water. We continue to drink, swim, and soak up the warm Hawaiian sun for the remainder of the day until it was time to head back.

As we head back to shore, I cuddle up next to Austin on the giant day bed. I look out over the water to see the most beautiful sunset. There is something about a great view, like this sunset for example, that always keeps me hooked. Staring out into its beauty makes me feel like time around me has paused for a moment and all the colors are flying around in the sky just to paint the world. As I watch the sunset I feel that everything will be alright. No matter what I go through, this time of day never seizes to fail me.

We got back to shore and immediately went to go grab some dinner at this cute mom and pop shop that was near the docks. "Oh I just know they're going to have the best food here" Adam says eagerly as we walk up to the counter. We all ordered our food and sat outside, on a large picnic table. The air was still warm from the day, even though the sun had fully set by now. "So, I was just thinking; when are you two planning to do the bachelor and bachelorette parties?" Christine said waving her fork between Austin and I. "Tomorrow would work out perfect actually, if thats okay with everyone," Austin said shoveling a big bite of rice into his mouth. "Yeah that should work out perfect. Allows us to have a day of recovery before the wedding stuff takes over" Adam said while looking at Christine, who nods back in agreement.

"Don't forget Sof, you promised us a wild party, and I still very much expect that" Smitty said smirking. "How did you even remember me saying that! You were hammered!" I said, laughing back at him. "I may party a lot, but I don't forget anything" he said with a cocky grin. "This is true. He's got the memory of an elephant," Nick added and Smitty sat back knowing he's right. "Okay, okay. I guess we do have the day after to be hungover zombies" I say in defeat. "Woah woah, Sof. You're finally gonna stop being the mom of the group and get hammered with us?" Adam says faking surprise. I laugh at his comment and sarcastically respond, "Mom's gotta have fun too, I guess." "Fuck yeah! Tomorrow is going to be so much fun" Marine says.

Austin goes on to tell the boys what they are going to do tomorrow and I tell the girls what the plan is for us. The boys are going to this cool place that is a brewery but you can rent out areas for groups. So, the can play games like corn hole, mini golf, and other stuff like that. Basically, it's an adult playground that they can get drunk at; the perfect place for the boys. For us ladies, we are going wine tasting, at yes you guessed it, a winery. Honestly, I'd prefer to go where the boys are because it sounds way more fun, but Christine and Marine are classy ladies and they'd have more fun here. After that the plan was to go bar hopping and see where the night takes us.

After we all discussed our plans for tomorrow, we headed back to the hotel. We were all pretty exhausted from our day out on the water and decided since tomorrow is going to be a long day, we should catch some shut eye early tonight. "Okay boys, we'll meet at Smitty's and Nick's room at noon? Sound good?" Austin asks the boys and they all agree. "Ooh Sof, let's meet at 11 in mine and Adams room, and us girlies can get ready together!" Christine says excitedly. "Yeah, for sure! We can force Marine to do our makeup!" I reply looking over at Marine to see if she's down. "Sounds like a plan!" She says pulling us into a hug. Everyone then shouts their goodnights and head back to their rooms.
