chapter 7

Charlie's POV

   I scrolled through my Twitter and saw a post from Allie. I clicked on it and read it to my myself. "Spending the day with this one ❤." It said with a picture of Bailey kissing her cheek and his arms wrapped around her waist. They were standing in front of a wooden building with cowboy boots on. Tears filled my eyes, but I wouldn't let them fall. She's moved on Charlie, you need to let her go.

   I closed out of the app and texted one of Allie's friends, Liz.

Me:
   Hey, you want to hang out tomorrow?

Lizz:
   Sure. Where and when?

Me:
   Park and Starbucks at 5?

Lizz:
   Sounds good. See you then ;)

Me:
   Alright, bye ;)

   Now we wait...

Bailey's POV

   "So, I found a place." I said to Tanner.

   "Where?" He asked.

   "State fair tomorrow."

   "Sounds good. Have you asked her?"

   "No, I was checking with you first."

   "Haha, go ask and if she says yes then I'll take you."

   "Thank you so much Tanner."

   "Anytime man." Tanner said and I walked to find Allie. I found her sitting on ledge of a window sill reading a book. "What ya reading?" I asked. She jumped and tossed the book up, "God Bailey! Don't do that. And I'm reading The Sisters Grimm." I laughed and walked over to her, "Oh. Well I have something to ask you."

   "Well ask." She said.

   "Will you go to the fair with me tomorrow?"

   "Oh my god, yes. I love the fair!"

   "Great. Well then it's a date." I said with a wink and started walking out of the door. "Bailey wait! I need to talk to you." She yelled. I walked back towards her and asked, "what is it babe?" She closed her book and looked at her hands. "Well I've been thinking and I was wondering what happens with us when we go back?" She mumbled.

   "I don't know. But let's worry about that when the time comes." I answered with a smile. She sighed and I kissed her cheek and left the room.

The Next Day...

Charlie's POV

Me:
   I'll be by in a few.

Lizz:
   Ok. I'm ready :)

   I turned my phone off and left the house. She just lived down the road so it didn't take long. I went up to her front door and knocked. She answered the door and yelled goodbye before walking out. "You look nice." I commented. "Thank you." She smiled. We started walking to the park and talked about random things for a while.

   Once we got there we went to a small pond. Where Allie and I had our first date.. We sat down on a bench and just talked. It was nice to talk to someone, even if you didn't know them that well. "So what happened to Allie?" She asked me, breaking me out of my thoughts. "We broke up and she's dating Bailey McConnell." I replied. "Oh. Sorry." She mumbled. "It's ok. Do you want to go get coffee?" I asked, trying to get off the subject. "Of course!" She laughed.
