chapter 8

Allie's POV

   I got dressed and ran downstairs. "Hurry up Tanner. We don't have all day!" I yelled while scarfing down my pancakes. "Chill lady. It's 9:00. We have a while." He said and put his plate in the sink. Bailey was already done so I finished and sat next to him. "So who are we meeting?" He asked for the 100th time. "My best friends Emma and Troy. I've known them my whole life almost." I said for the 100th time. He nodded and got his phone out.

   I watched him scroll through Instagram and saw something that he quickly passed. "Who was that?" I asked him. "Just a friend." He mumbled. "Bailey, show me." I demanded. He sighed and scrolled back up. It was a picture of Charlie with Liz. Great time with this girl! ;) ❤ "Oh." I mumbled and looked away. Why does it hurt? You're supposed to be over him. You're just friends. Right?

   "Are you alright?" Bailey asked, concern clear in his voice. "Always." I said with a small smile. He smiled back and kissed my forehead. Annie and Shawn walked down and sat on the couch. "Alright! Let's go!" Tanner said and picked his keys up. We all stood up and went outside. Ashley was still pissed off at nothing so she stayed with Keri and Gran. Maggie got in the front seat next to Tanner. Annie and I were in the middle and Bailey and Shawn were in the back.

   We drove for about 20 minutes before we stopped. We all got out of the car and went to the front door. I knocked and Emma answered. "ALLIE!!!" She shrieked and hugged me. I hugged her back and laughed. "Emma, invite them inside." I heard the familiar voice of Troy tease. She let me go and I ran towards him and hugged him. "Hey Blondie." He said and let me go. I smiled and waited for everyone to get inside.

   "Ok, this is Bailey, Annie, Shawn, and Maggie." I said and pointed to them. (Lots of dialogue.)

Bailey- Hello. Nice to meet you.

Annie- Pleasure. I've heard so much.

Shawn- Sup Americans.

Maggie- Hi, pleasure to finally meet you.

Tanner- Well I feel pretty left out.

Emma- Oh shut up. We know who you are.

Tanner- I'm hurt Emma.

Troy- She has very hurtful words.

Allie- Can we stop being so dramatic and go?

Troy- We were having a moment here and you just ruined it.

Allie- Oh shut up.

   He hit my arm and we went back outside. I was in between Annie and Emma and Bailey was between Shawn and Troy. "So, that's your new boyfriend?" Emma whispered. "Yep. He's a cutie isn't he?" I said so he would hear. He turned around and smiled, "Of course I am." She laughed and he turned around.

   We got to the water park and piled out. Bailey picked me up on his back and we all went to the front gate. Tanner paid and we went to our lockers and put up our stuff. I walked out with Emma and Annie and saw the boys standing outside. Maggie and Tanner sat on long beach chairs and we went to the wave pool.

   Of course, people rushed towards us and asked for pictures and hugs. We gave a few to the little kids but then left the crowd. "I love the fans and all, but they're annoying sometimes." I shrugged. "Yeah, I know how you feel." Troy sighed. I laughed and swam to the deeper part of the pool. The waves came on and I got into an inflatable. Bailey grabbed onto the side and flipped me over, dunking me under the water. I swam up and grabbed his shoulders. He tried to get onto the tube but I pulled him down.

   Eventually the waves stopped and we got out. "What now?" Shawn asked. "Rides!!!" Emma screamed and ran towards the slides. We ran after her and caught up to her. Emma, Annie, and I got a tube and started to go upstairs. All of the boys got one and followed us up.

   Once we got to the top we got on the inflatable and pushed off as hard as we could. "ALLIE!!!" Annie shrieked. I looked at her and laughed. Emma was screaming and throwing her hands up. When we got to the bottom we face planted in the water and got out.

   The boys came out screaming and face planted as well. We went down a couple more slides before going to the lazy river. "I'm hungry." Bailey moaned. "Bailey, you're making me more hungry." I groaned and hit his shoulder. "Let's just run around the whole thing so it goes faster." Shawn suggested. "Or we could form a floaty train." Annie said. "Maybe we should just have a piggy back race." Emma shrugged. "Floaty's are the easiest." I said and swam around, looking for one.

   "But there aren't any." I sighed. "Here, get on my back." Bailey said and swam in front of me. I jumped on his back and wrapped my legs around his waist; I wrapped my arms around his neck and put my chin on his shoulder. "You guys are cute." Emma smiled. "It comes naturally." I said and went to kiss his cheek, but he turned his head and our lips met.  I laughed and pulled away. "Oh my gosh! Y'all are so adorable!!" Troy squealed in a girly voice. "Oh my gosh girl! They are!!" Shawn said in the same voice. We laughed and got to the end of the river.

   We made our way to Maggie and Tanner. "We're hungry." I said and sat on Tanner's chair. He took some money out of a bag and handed it to us. We all ran to the concession stand and waited in line. When it was our turn we ordered. "We'll have 3 funnel cakes, 3 orders of French fries, 4 orders of cheese sticks, and 6 medium drinks." I said and handed the lady the money. She handed me change and cups.

   Everyone but me, Emma, and Troy went to find a table. "So, what happened with Charlie?" Emma asked while we were waiting. "Well, like 3 days after I left for tour he cheated on me, so I broke up with him. Then Bailey asked me out and it's kind of hard to say no to Bailey. But him and Leo came to California for an interview and we made up." I said. "There's more to the story." Troy said.

   I nodded and continued, "And when he left he told me that he loved me and I said it back. So now he's seeing my friend Liz." They both sighed and Emma said, "That sucks Allie." I nodded and took a sip of my drink. We got our food and went back to the table. Everyone immediately dug in once I sat it down.

Charlie's POV

   All I saw were pictures of Allie. Everywhere. Leo talked about her, Leo's mum talked about her, her mum talked about her, my mum talked about her, Brooke talked about her. Gosh, even Liz talked about her!

   Liz and I were becoming a 'thing' I guess. She wasn't really the kind of girl I went for, but it'll work. I just missed her so much. Her eyes. Her smile. Her hair. Her hands. Her nose. Her lips. I just missed her. I need her. She is everything to me, and nothing will change that. Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous to say that when I'm only 16, but it's true. I love her and I always will.

Allie's POV

    We left the water park a few hours later.

Emma and Troy were staying with us the rest of the time so they came with us. When we got home we all changed into dry clothes. "Let's ride horses." Emma said. I immediately got up and ran up the stairs. I came down wearing a pair of boots and threw a pair to Emma and Troy.

   "Hurry up if you're coming!" I said and ran through the door. I got out my horse Poncho and put a saddle on him. Emma and Troy ran in next followed my Bailey. "What's everyone else doing?" I asked them. "They're all sleeping." Bailey said and came towards me. I got out Valentine and got her ready for Bailey. He got on and waited for the rest of us.

   "Does it matter which one we get?" Troy asked. "Just not Dixie, she's hurt. But you can get the ones you usually ride." I said and got on Poncho. Once they were ready, we walked the horses to get them warmed up. We got to the top of the hill and sat down in the grass.

   "You should come back to Texas." Emma sighed. "I wish I could." I mumbled and fell down to the grass. Then it all went black. I heard Emma scream and felt Bailey pull me onto his lap. "Allie! Please stay with us! Please, I love you!" I heard Bailey yell. But it all went away.
