Seonghwa nervously tapped his fingers, his eyes flitting around the the cell that he and WooYoung were in, grinding his teeth anxiously, continuing the subtle drilling of his nails against his leg, anxious for a reason that he did not know. He just...he felt that something not so good was about to happen and not knowing what it was truly was getting to him.He hated the unknown, he hated how it made him feel. Not knowing what was going to happen left him scrambling, and he had always found it frustrating, and upsetting. It left him nervous. He hated not knowing how to handle this huge sorts of stress, but he was also used to the restless anxiety that coursed through him every time he felt something bad was about to happen. He got the feeling at least once a week, and every time he ended up being right in his choice to worry. He felt someone tentatively touch his shoulder, causing him to jerk to stare at the concerned brown eyes of his cell mate. WooYoung.
The boy had been brought in about...He would say maybe a month ago. He did not know why he had been brought, and he did not ask. It was clear that he was not really here of his own free will, along with everyone in the lower docks. Nobody wanted to be here, they got dragged here through fighting tooth and nail. Either because they pissed off the leader of the boat, or because they got...kidnapped and shoved onto said boat. There was really only one or the other. Seonghwa, he was the latter, the rest of the people, barring WooYoung, were, he thought the former but they could be the latter if he was being honest, he did not really want to talk too much to the other prisoners. He thought WooYoung was similar to him, because he was the only person that they had made share a cell with him. Probably to separate who they had kidnapped and who they had just been punishing. It was a...weird system, but he guessed it was not the worst thing that they could have done. As it were, WooYoung had seemed fairly calm the entire time that he had been on this forsaken boat. SeongHwa was really quite impressed. He had learned that the boy was younger than him, but not by much, and that he seemed fairly sure that everything would be fine for him.
"What's wrong Hyung?" WooYoung asked, his voice soft and careful. He always did that. SeongHwa had been more on edge since WooYoung had entered the cells with him. WooYoung had been well and truly startled the first time that SeongHwa had gone head to head with the head Disciplinarian when he tried to drag WooYoung to the docks. It would seem that it had not been a normal reaction either since the Disciplinarian had been shocked as well, and needless to say, the lead of the boat had tried to same thing only to almost loose a finger. After that they did not bother trying to drag WooYoung away from SeongHwa, in fact they had made it quite clear that they wanted nothing to do with either one of them, which suited SeongHwa just fine. After that, WooYoung had taken a sort of shine to him, latching onto him like a playful pup. It had definitely caused SeongHwa joy in what was otherwise a joyless existence as he waited to be sold off or whatever it was that they were doing with him.
"I just..." SeongHwa sighed shaking his head. "I just have a feeling." WooYoung glanced towards him with furrowed brows. The last time he had 'a feeling' they had almost been drugged by the food one of the vile beings had given them, SeongHwa had not known what had caused him to drag the food from WooYoung, but it had been a good thing they did. He did not even want to know what they had been planning.
"What sort of feeling?" WooYoung questioned, beginning to get somewhat nervous. They had both learned the hard way that SeongHwa's feelings, as much as they may not understand what caused it, were often things that were unwisely disregarded. SeongHwa stared up at WooYoung with a smile, reaching up to grab his bicep and pull him down to the ground with him.
"It is nothing to really worry about." SeongHwa tried to which WooYoung just clicked his tongue. He gave SeongHwa a look that told the older clearly how he thought about that. SeongHwa just sighed, knowing that he was not going to get out of this. Attempting to deflect more would only cause WooYoung more worry, which was the last thing that he wanted.
"I just get this feeling something is going to happen. Not necessarily something bad, but...something." SeongHwa admitted. WooYoung brightened at that. SeongHwa inwardly let himself sigh heavily. Here they go again.
"That means that maybe we will be rescued!" He said, fingers gripping SeongHwa tightly, causing the elder to wince, leaving WooYoung jerking backwards with a sheepish apology.
"I would not get my hopes up Youngie," SeongHwa said gently a tense smile pulling at his lips. "I know you are really excited to be reunited with whoever it was that you left, but at the same time, we are unsure of anything, and I don't want you to get disappointed."
WooYoung remained certain that he was going to be rescued. While SeongHwa liked the optimism, and could not really bring himself to drag WooYoung down to reality, He knew that he should not entertain these thoughts, especially given their unlikelihood, but he also could not bring himself to dash them either. It was dangerous for WooYoung to cling to these things, especially when SeongHwa knew that they were not going to come true, likely they would be sold once they reached a place that allowed the sale of humans.
"Don't worry too much Hyung," WooYoung said gently, his voice easily lulling SeongHwa into a deep sleep. "It is okay, when they come for me, I will bring you with me. No matter what." But SeongHwa did not hear the last part that WooYoung had stated, conviction clear in his voice, already sleeping.
