As you read this chapter you may be wondering " what does this have to do with Heddie and Freddie's relationship?" Well my loves, it's just a wee bit of fluff and there is always a method to my literary madness and all will be revealed soon. I will say that this storyline is necessary. Enjoy the respite and immerse youselves in Wishful Thinking. We would all love to be treated this way. ❤️

Heddie

I'm so thankful that Tina gave me the two hours off to have lunch with Timmy and tell him I probably won't be sleeping at home tonight. I'll explain everything to Marta and she will most certainly help me with Timmy as well as Dad. I can't seem to trust my father right now. Where Freddie is concerned, my father seems to be butting in but I can't prove it. Too many things happening coincidentally for my peace of mind.  Hmm, I've been thinking about Marta a lot lately. She's a great deal more than Timmy's Nanny. Nanny, I can't call her that. She watches over Timmy as if he were her own, she's a registered nurse,  friend, and confidant, so to speak.  Sometimes I feel guilty taking her away from the hospital and Alan. Although she was making way less in the hospital, she had her own life. I know very little about her or even if she has a boyfriend/girlfriend. I think we are going to need a girls day out so I can get to know her a little better. I know it's selfish of me to hoard her and at times I do feel like she's missing out on, well, life.

"Boo Boo, I'm home, where are you my little munchkin?" Heddie called.

All of a sudden, I knew exactly where he was, the strains of Bohemian Rhapsody were wafting through the penthouse. Then there was his voice as he tried to hit the higher notes and cracked. He stopped playing then and ran to me.

"Mommy, I can't sing all the words, what am I doing wrong?"

"Nothing, little one" said  my Dad as he walked into the living room, "What you need are some singing lessons, maybe that would help."

"Do you know anyone Dad"

"Me! You're the new singing sensation and you know important singers, I'm sure you can find someone" Tim joked.

I kneeled down and held Timmy, "Munchkin, you becoming a big boy did you know that?"

I looked into his glistening eyes as he nodded. "When you grow, your voice changes and that's what is happening now, but I will find  you a voice trainer, okay?"

"I love you mommy.   Mommy, can you get the mustache man?"

Oh Boo Boo, I wish I could, I certainly wish I could.

I motioned with my eyes that I needed to speak with Marta, she nodded and followed me to my bedroom.

I closed my bedroom door behind Marta and spoke quietly.

"Marta, I heard from Queen that Freddie is flying over to surprise me.

"What, omg!  What are you going to do...Timmy?"

"No problem, Dad got me a suite at the Regent Beverly Wilshire.  Marta, I got a great idea. Give me a minute."

Heddie left the room and called Tina at The Record Plant and told her she needed to take the rest of the day off and any expense incurred by this, she would "foot the bill."  Tina whole heartidly agreed because she had some pressing problems that she had to deal with.

Heddie walked into her father's study and asked for both he and Diana to please take care of Timmy, she was going to be out the whole day and evening.

"Come on Marta, lets pack me a few things for the hotel and have a girls day out. You deserve it."

I was excited, not only because of the prospect of seeing Freddie but I always thought that Marta was a beautiful woman hidden under her uniform, comfortable shoes, glasses and an upswept bun. She wore very little makeup and her glasses hid her beautiful eyes and needed a serious makeover. Today will be the day.  I would like to know more about Marta and this would be the perfect vehicle to do so.
