Freddie woke up feeling quite contented, as he stretched in bed and not feeling anyone next to him, stopped and jumped up. He looked at the clock and it was 9:30 AM. He never woke up naturally at 9:30 and he had a great nights rest. Mcdonalds, he thought, I ate a Big Mac! Ha!!

"Phoebe, put the kettle on, I need a cup of tea" Freddie called down as he jumped into the shower. He was going to have quite a big day and wanted an early start.

First he needed to go to their corporate office downtown  for a meeting with Miami. Then there was a gathering of the band at Wessex. When finished with his obligations, he had another chore, but that's a secret, and never lastly, a visit to Heddie and Timmy, always Heddie and Timmy.

Freddie bounced into the kitchen looking like he stepped right out of GQ and with purpose , sporting a huge smile.

"Wow, there's certainly a spring in your  step today" Phoebe said as he served Freddie his morning Earl Grey.

"Darling, all is right with the world and I feel like a king" Freddie said.

"Not Queen?" Phoebe joked.

Phoebe knew exactly what Freddie meant and seeing his boss/friend so contented put a smile on his face.

"Big day love, big day" Freddie quipped.

"Have Terry pick me up at 10 love" Freddie said, pouring himself another cup. That was something he was capable of doing.

Freddie arrived at Queen's corporate offices. He burst through the doors as if he owned the place, and to be perfectly honest, he did.

Jackie saw him first and jumped up and said

"Good Morning Freddie, do you need me to do anything for You."

"Nope darling, just keep on doing what you have been doing, keeping the fans happy." Freddie sang.

Walking into Jim Beach's office with one loud knock and a flung open door, Freddie marched in and sat down opposite him. Jim looked up in surprise, " What's up with you Fred? Why are you here?

"When are we playing at the Hammersmith, Miami?" Freddies just a tad too excited for Miami's comfort level.

"In three weeks time Fred, why do you ask?" Jim inquired.

'Would it be possible for Heddie to sing a song with us? You know how good she is, and it would really be a huge favor to me? Freddie asked as he sat back and lit a cigarette.

Miami's eyes narrowed,  what's going on in Freddie's mind?

"If the rest of the band doesn't mind, I certainly have no problem with  it, she has a superb voice"

"Okay, I'm off to Wessex now and get it settled." Freddie said a he stood up, "and  Jim, I just want to ... oh forget it."

"Hmmmm" Jim mumbled.

Freddie arrived at Wessex and literally bounced through  the doors. The boys noticed his light and airy step and joyful demeanor. This was a happy day for Fred, so rehearsal will be pleasant and fun.

"Mates, I have a favor to ask all of you and I kind of hope you will help me out. We play at Hammersmith in three weeks time and was hoping you would allow Heddie to sing a song with us. What say you?"

The three bandmates looked at each other totally perplexed. Nobody has ever sang with them before, not really at a concert. Of course there was clowning about with Elton and Rod and the joke of forming a band called, Hair, Nose and Teeth, but never at a scheduled, crowd paying concert. Freddie looked around the studio and the engineer's and mixing room and made sure all microphones were in the off position. He didn't want anyone else but the boys to hear what he was talking about.
