....

Why do I have to wake up...?

"Alice--Big Sis! We--I came to play!"

I slowly opened my eyes. I was still on the couch, obviously sleeping.

Alice was sitting at the table, dressed and drinking what I would guess to be coffee. She was surrounded by a guy with pink hair, ears, tail...he looked like a punk. Wow, the people here have a weird style. Like a cat mixed with a gangsta. A walking clock and a mafia boss who's taken a liking to top hats...well that last one wasn't as weird as the first two...

"Just like I promised! It's time to party at the park." The cat guy piped up.

"It's still not fair." The twins whined. "We wanted you to come to the Hatters first...but our boss is out right now."

"Sooo...Alice you gonna tell me who the cat is? Not to mention why he's being so loud! Aaand...what's this about you being scheduled to go places!?" I got up off the couch. I didn't really care about my attire at the moment.

I walked up to Alice, feeling everyone's gaze instantly lock on me.

"Priya, this is Boris. He lives at the Amusement Park. And...you already know the twins...right?" Alice pointed at each one of the boys. "Dee and Dum?"

"Yeah, nice to meet you...back to you Alice." I painfully gripped the top of her head. "You've been a busy girl, making so many friend without me~"

Alice looked up at me, her face was as pale as a ghost and she just looked like she finished going through a haunted house, with the slight tears in her eyes and all. "W-well, I-I...umm just ran into a lot of people...nothing much!" She stammered.

"Nah, it's okay. I forgive you..." I let go of her head and started walking over to Julius...who was trying his best not to look at me. Figures.

"Hey...Are you wearing one of Julius's shirts?" Boris asked.

"Yeah, what of it?" I turned back at him and crossed my arms. "Got a problem with it?"

"She just gets crabby when she's forced awake..." Alice whispered to Boris, who looked hurt.

"Hey, wanna come to the Park with us!?" The twins asked.

I could have sworn my eye twitched when I glared at them, making tears form in their eyes. "Absolutely not! Besides, I have better things to do."

Like figuring out the rest of the mystery behind the clocks in this world...

God, that was mean. Just calm down Priya, just calm down...Deep breath--

"Gowland is a role holder. It could help with the Medicine filling..." Julius suggested.

"Are you purposely trying to get me outta here!?" I turned to face the Clockmaker now. He pushed his glasses further up the bridge of his nose and continued staring intently on the clock he was fixing.

"It was just a helpful suggestion." He muttered.

"...Fine." I, yet again, turned to face the twins, Alice and the cat. "Sorry guys. I'm just cranky. Let me change and we'll be off." I walked into the bathroom, grabbing my clothes on the way.

As I was changing I happened to catch a little bit of a conversation...

"Unless maybe...you wanted to come along too." Came Boris's voice. "The old man does miss you..."

"No." Was Julius's reply. "I assure you I have no interest in a place with uncivilized rides..."

What is he talking about...?

"Ah. Right." Boris had adopted a mocking tone. "You hate roller coasters, I remember."

I couldn't help but gasp a bit. So he was referring to himself when he said I reminded him of someone he knew.

I put my ear up to the door after I quickly finished changing.

"Now, then. We're borrowing Alice. Later!"
And with that, the door slammed. I could hear Alice shouting: "Wait we forgot Priya!!!"
And Boris replying: "We'll just wait outside for her!"

I exited the bathroom and shot a real sexy smile toward Julius.
"So, I just happened to hear from someone that you hate roller coasters...funny, I recall you saying that I remind you of someone you know almost right after telling you my similar hatred for them..." I walked over to Julius who had completely stopped what he was doing by now.

"Well, what else was I supposed to say!?" He looked up at me from his sitting position.

"I'm not the one to answer that question." I poked at the clock on his necktie. "...You're hiding something from Alice and I..."

I knew I was not gonna be able to hide the secret forever...I'm just not good at that...it's a character flaw of mine.

Julius suddenly smacked my hand away from him and stood up so he was towering over me. "I'm not hiding anything from you both." He said. His glare was intimidating but, I'm hard to break.

"Liar."

He flinched. "Just get going already. Your interrupting my work." He huffed as he sat down once again.

I quickly spun around and briskly walked toward the door.

But, as I opened it up, I called back to him.
"I'll figure you out soon enough, Julius Monrey, and when I do..." I looked over my shoulder and caught his blue gaze. "I'll make sure you regret it."

And with that, I slammed his door and made my way to Alice and company.
