A/N: Welcome back to dear readers to the ACTUALL STORY LINE!!! Yay!!!
And yes, before you all get on me for the pic, I know that it's Kagerou from Inu X Boku SS...It's the costume okay, JUST THE COSTUME!!! God, I would die if Julius acted that way....if you know how Kagerou acts...

"AH! FINALLY!"

Julius and I both glared at the waving figure behind our masks.

"Why did it have to be you!?" Julius said with some of his famous scarcasm.

"How did you know it was me!?" The figure, clad in a white suit, brushed some of his brown hair away from his red mask. "I got a different mask and everything."

"At least I know you can keep us hidden, Ace." I said, brushing past him in my gown and then swiftly turning around before the two men. "Julius told me that...we wouldn't want to be known."

Ace laughed. "Ah, yes. The only ones who will know you two is me and the Host."

Julius locked his blue gaze with Ace's red. "And do you know who the host is this year?"

Ace shrugged. "Nah, I didn't bother checking."

"We don't want to be late. Ace, take us to the party." I watched him bow, being almost mockingly regal.

"As you wish,"

Julius cleared his throat and held out his arm to me. "You're the guide, I'm her escort."

I took his arm as Ace laughed and said "What's the difference?"

The journey to the party was very long. We got lost a bunch of times.

"ACE! WHY DON'T YOU STICK TO THE PATH!?" Julius yelled, clearly angered.

"But Julius, it's really confusing! I swear we were supposed to go right in between the fork in the road!" Ace said as he stood on a log in the forest.

I looked around. My arm was still locked with Julius' and I strained to hear anything. A sound of laughter...music...

And then, using my awesome hearing...cough, cough....I located one of the two things.

Music was softly ringing through the trees.

"I'll get us there." I stated as I began searching for the source of the melodic tones.

"But, I know where it is--" Ace argued.

"Just come on!" I locked his arm in my free one and began guiding them both to the sound. Who knows, I could be totally wrong....but who would be playing music in the middle of a forest anyway?

"Ah! And our last guests have arrived!" A young, but booming voice sounded over the masked crowd. I could tell that it was the Host. He made his way over to the three of us and clapped Julius and Ace on the back. They both involuntarily took a step forward.

"And young lady, might I say you look ravishing tonight." He took my gloved hand and placed a light kiss upon it.

"And you look handsome good sir." I politely responded.

I could see Julius' sapphire eyes roll underneath his mask. I nudged him once we were actually inside the ball.

"You looked jealous...." I hugged his arm.

"I assure you, I'm not jealous."

I laughed quietly as he continued to glare...or his eye twitched really...toward the Host.
