Sometimes the person you'd take a bullet for, is the one holding the gun.

Jack took me out to lunch for free period but I wasn't hungry. Now we're back at school.
"You should really eat." Jack says pushing my tray towards me. Its lunch time.
  "I'm not hungry." I mumble.
  "Sky."
  "Jack." I glare.
  "Come on."
  "No Jack."
"Please Twinkles?" Jack pleads, I hear Ashley scoff in the back round.
"Fine." I roll my eyes taking a bite of my apple. "Happy?"
"Sorta." He kisses me "Okay I'm happy now."
"Lunch is almost over. I'll see you later." I fake smile walking out of the cafeteria. I go to the bathroom and lock the stall. Then I break down. What did I ever do to her? I'm the schools laughingstock. The only thing keeping me sane is Jack. If he wasn't here I don't even know if I'd be standing here.
"Um... Sky?" I hear Bailey sigh from the outside of the door.
  "What?" I cry.
  "What's wrong?"
  "Ashley."
"What did she do now?" I tell her.
"I don't know why she hates me."
"God Sky. I'm really sorry." The bell rings.
"I have to get to P.E."
  "Okay..."
  "Oh and Bailey?"
  "Yeah?"
"Thanks." I slightly smile and then walk off to P.E.
"Today class," My P.E teacher drones on "We will be having a free day. Since it is the first gym class of the year."
"Hi Jack." I sigh walking up to him.
"Why were you crying again?" He sighs pulling me into a hug.
"I just can't take this anymore Jack." I mumble.
  "Sky don't say that."
  "No its true Jack."
  "Sky you promised me."
"I have to go." I clear my throat walking out. I grab my stuff and walk home. I'm done with school. I'm done with everyone in school. I'm just done. I get home and flop onto my bed. I just want to sleep.
A few hours after I fall asleep I feel someone get in my bed. I already know who it is, but I turn around anyway and see Jack laying next to me. He just smiles and I bury my head into his chest. Just him being here with me soothes me. His smell, his heart beat, his breathing, it's all just so comforting. He makes me feel safe.
