Addicted To You

Chapter 8

  Maybe you're not good for me, but I'm addicted to you.

  *Ding Dong Ding Dong*
  I ring JBears doorbell over and over.
  "Who is it?" He yells through the door.
  "Beyoncé! Who do you think?"
  "I don't know."
  "It's Sky!" He slowly opens the door and just stares at me. "Hey JBear!" I beam.
  "Hi."
  "What's your problem?" I question.
  "You."
  "What do you mean?"
  "The beach?"
  "What about it?"
  "Wow you're that oblivious."
  "What did I do?!"
  "I waited for you at the beach for three hours! I even went to your house and rang the bell but no one answered!" I completely forgot that I was supposed to go to the beach with him after school.
  "Oh my god I'm so sorry. I totally forgot!"
  "I'm used to you blowing me off by now."
  "JBear..."
  "You've changed Sky." He sighs.
  "I know I was stupid but you've been so distant from me lately. What's wrong?" I ask taking his hands in mine.
  "This." He takes his hands out of mine.
  "What do you mean?"
  "Skylar I love you! Okay! I always have! You never noticed but I do, and I can't stand watching you with Jack, not when I know I could treat you so much better." He blurts out as tears well up in his eyes. I don't know what to do. I just stand there staring at him.
  "JBear I love you too. You know that." I smile breaking the silence. I never saw JBear as more than a friend and I thought he felt the same way, till now.
  "Then kiss me." He says as he leans into me gently placing his lips against mine. I don't kiss him back at first but after a few seconds our lips are moving in sink. His hands travel from my face to my lower back.
  "Stop." I pull away. Why would I kiss him back? He's my bestfriend! "I can't believe I just did that!" My voice quivers.
  "Sky I'm so sorry! I don't know what got into me." He apologizes.
  "Sky?" I hear a voice from behind me.
