The next day at the academy, Xavier wasn't there. I continued with my training, my thoughts all over the place. Where was he? Ed pushed me harder than before. Everything was increased or he made me use my stamina for longer. But I couldn't keep me thoughts off Xavier. As I walked through the glass doors, the fresh air hit me like a tidal wave. I turned to make my way home to find Xavier perched on the bike racks with earphones in. I was so glad to see him. He looked up and his normally blue eyes were dark and showed anger. He got off the bike racks grabbed my hand and pulled me along after him until we were away from the academy and in a small alley way. 'What is wrong with you today? You don't show up for training then you grab me and make me go with you like a dog?' I said to him with frustration. He took out his earphones and shoved them into his pockets. 'Look, I didn't ask for my Father to show up at your door last night and if you can't remember, I took that blow for you. Don't I get anything for that?' I looked at him like he was a maniac. I looked at the ground and then back at him placing my hands on my hips. 'Okay then thank you. Are you happy?' He shot me an angry and desperate look. 'YES! Finally! Don't you realize what you did last night? You got me in a whole shit load of trouble! He threw his arms up in the air trying to support his sentence. 'What so now it's my fault??' I threw back at him with disbelief. 'Your Dad is the one with the issues! He was going to back hand me! Does he even have manners? Or does he get what he wants just like you.' Xavier's eyes darkened. I knew I had crossed the line. His fists clenched up as he tried to calm himself.' Go on then. Hit me! No one is around to see you turn into your Father!' *Bang* Lachlan's face was inches from mine with his arm extended just past my face, slamming into the wall. He backed me up further until I was completely flat against the wall. 'You... are the biggest bitch. You think you have everything perfect? Not everyone has. Yes my Father was going to backhand you last night before I stepped in. He has a temper and you crossed the line.' I snapped back at him 'looks like someone else has a temper as well' Xavier's expression sharpened. 'You're Dad had no balls. Having a daughter screwed him up. You screwed him up Anne, and you're just like him, soft, weak, screwed up and a bigger ego than the bullet that blew his brains to bits.' I winced as my heart felt like I had just been stabbed. My breath ran out as I was taking short and heavy breaths. My chest weighed me down as my legs weakened. Tears flooded my face as I squeezed my eyes shut. When I opened my eyes. Xavier's expression softened as he realized what he had done. I pursed my lips together and looked at him in disbelief. I turned and backed away from him towards the road. 'Anne...' I cut him off by shaking my head, turning the corner and running until I couldn't run anymore.
