Everything I was told when I was younger, all lies. Dad's job as a part time doctor, fake. Auntie Sonia's job as an e-counsellor, fake. I couldn't process everything that Cheryl and Auntie Sonia were trying to tell me. I was dragged involuntarily back to the Academy were everything was packed up and everyone had gone home. I sat down on one of the chairs left out in the side of the room. Xavier, Auntie Sonia and Cheryl dragged a chair out of the storeroom and sat by me. I could sense the anger and disappointment flowing back and forth between Auntie Sonia and Cheryl. 'Okay, remember in the video I showed you before you came here, your Father told you your Mother was dead? Well, she isn't. There is a lot to tell you so...' She took in a deep breath before continuing. 'Before you were placed in my care, I was in the FBI field division. I worked around bringing people in and saving people in danger. When you were placed in my care, my boss demoted me to visual support in dangerous field missions. You do know what that is don't you?' I nodded my head slowly trying to process everything. 'Visual support teams are the ones with the sensor maps on computer screens and are like the eyes of the field teams but from security cameras. Right?' I asked. I was still unsure how any of this affected me. 'Correct. Although I was the one who hacked all of the places we sent teams in. Anyway, I was hacking into a site one day and I found a picture of you, your Father and Mother. This is where Cheryl comes in. It was your Mother's computer. Somehow, she was alive and don't blame your Father for not telling you because he didn't know.' My eyes filled with tears of frustration and happiness. How could she hide herself when her only daughter is alive and wanting her? My thoughts broke when Cheryl started talking. 'Sonia linked the computer back to my place. I was and still am the richest and most successful FBI agent. When Sonia confronted me the next day in my training, that locket you are wearing fell in front of Sonia. She didn't notice though. Once she had talked to me, telling me your Father was dead and you were with her, I just couldn't wait any longer. I had to see the beautiful girl you had become.' Eyes filled her tears as her chin started to quiver. Silent tears fell down her face as her eyes searched mine for an understanding. I opened my locket. The Mum in the locket had brown curly hair that only just passed her collarbone. Cheryl, she had long Auburn hair but all of her facial features like the cat green eyes were nearly identical. 'I don't understand. If you are my Mum, why don't you look like her?' She reached into her pocket and brought out my birth certificates. She handed it over to me as I read through it. My eyes widened in shock. She was my Mum. 'I couldn't come back because my boss forbade it. If I came back to you and revealed myself, I was no longer entitled to my position as head of the field division and training new recruits. When I heard that you were in Freedom, I couldn't care less about my positions in the FBI.' I was speechless. 'Mum I...' *Knock Knock Knock* the door interrupted me. Auntie S and Mum exchanged looks before throwing Xavier her spare gun as Auntie S ran out to get hers. 'Go and hide in the store room. Lock the doors and don't answer to anyone but me or Sonia. Understand?' Xavier nodded his head and dragged me to the store rooms. His grip was tight on my arm. Mum turned back to me before Xavier shut us in and mouthed the word sorry before the doors were kicked in and all hell broke loose.
