Demon slayer one-shots

Zenitsu walked alone. Bored clearly. Everyone was with their girlfriends which left him all alone. He wanted to hang out with Tanjiro but he was already chatting with Kanao and he didn't want to interrupt them especially since Kanao would be leaving that night. Inosuke was with Aoi...somewhere over the rainbow as far as he knew which seemed to happen a lot in the past month. And he was scared of the hashira. Nezuko also was somewhere in the gardens. Recently Tamayo had told Tanjiro that she believed Nezuko could withstand sunlight and it ended up being true. Zenitsu thought she looked even more cute in the sunlight.

He sighed and really wanted to remove the bandages from his arm but didn't want Aoi to yell at him. He stumbled upon a really pretty pink flower. It reminded him of Nezukos's eyes so he decided to bring it to her, a perfect excuse to hang out.

"Nezuko!" he shouted, going into the gardens.

"I'm here!" she answered in a rather quiet type of loud.

He began to walk over from where her voice came from. She was sitting crossed leg on the ground watering the plant in front of her while humming. He came up next to her and she faced him with her usual kind smile

"Did you need something?" she asked sweetly.

"I wanted to give you this," he handed her the flower.

"Oh! This one is so pretty!" she said excitedly, taking it from his hands. "You thank!" She put the flower in her hair.

"Thank you," he corrected.

"My bad...thank you?"

He smiled and nodded.

Ever since she had begun talking she always told them to correct her speaking even with minor mistakes. She did not hold it against anyone when they corrected her and instead thanked them for doing so.

"I was looking for Inosuke but I can't find him. Do you know where he could be?"

"I am really not sure, he was with Kanzaki-chan about an hour ago, I honestly have no clue where it is he could be,"

"Oh, well they must be together. We should let them be," she took a seat again in front of the flowers and invited him next to her, patting the soft grass.

He took a seat next to her and they stared off into the sunset.

"I don't think I am going to be able to fight anymore," she said suddenly.

His head snapped to the side. "What?" he asked, not understanding.

"I haven't been powerful as I used to be two years ago, do you not remember when Inosuke we went? I couldn't even stand after one blow. I told Tanjiro and he says that the our next mission may be my last,"

"Honestly, as long as you are fine, we all are. I believe you may be turning back into a human."

"Really?" she turned her head to face him.

He nodded. "You have no clue how happy Tanjiro sounds when he is near, I think he sees it too." he smiled.

She let out a breath and smiled at him. The kind smile she gave everyone. But even when she was not smiling just by her face and by herself you could hear her kindness from afar.

That was why he loved her.

Kanao and Tanjiro walked around the mansion also watching the sun as it began to settle.

"And the Zenitsu tripped who tripped from Inosuke but he was hanging onto me and I accidentally dragged Giyū!"

Kanao laughed softly as Tanjiro told the story. She loved hearing about the other boys' softer sides, especially Tomioka since she was dating her sister figure. Kanao got along well with Inosuke after a mission where she and him had to work together. She didn't not get along with Zenitsu; it was just rare for them to interact.

"Shouldn't you go get ready?"

She took a deep breath in before looking up at him. "I will really miss you," she told him in a quiet voice.

"I will too," he whispered back.

He leaned and gave her a kiss and they seemed to stand there for hours. He hugged her, holding her tight against his warm body. She could have stayed there for all eternity if she had the time but for right now they didn't. Maybe after there were no demons in the world. Maybe if that was not just a dream or a fantasy. Maybe if the world was perfect.

"I don't think I'll be able to see you until after the mission, but I'll promise to send letters." she told him.

"All I care about is that you stay safe, be careful okay?"

"Mhm," She hummed.

Once she backed away they smiled at each other. He watched quietly, smiling as she walked away.
