Being Tiny || A Venti x Lumine Fanfiction

Hello all! <3 

I'm back from my long slumber with part 1 of chapter 8, Don't worry, part 2 will be published soon. Sorry for the delay, enjoy!

Paimon was tugging Lumine's arm to walk faster. "Slow down, Paimon! I might fall again" Paimon slowed down.

"Well, I wouldn't be tugging if you just walked faster!" Lumine looked down at her tiny legs. "I hope Sucrose didn't just give me the potion and not have a cure..."

Lumine thought that she would kill her after she was normal if that was the case. "Paimon thinks that's stupid! I mean, alchemists could do anything right? She could make a cure easily!" Lumine sighed.

"I sure hope so" Paimon suddenly started to tug and drag her all the way to Good Hunter's. "Well, whether she can or not, Paimon is still hungry!" She said impatiently. After Paimon and Lumine finished eating, they headed to the Knight's of Favonious HQ to talk to sucrose in the library. "Sucrose~!"

Lumine shushed Paimon and told her to keep it down. "Oh, uh, sorry! Sucrose~" She whispered.

Lumine spotted Lisa and ran up to her. "Hey, Lisa, have you seen Sucrose here today?" Lisa stopped sorting the overdue books into the shelves.

"No, sweetie. She would usually be here by now to check out some books" Lisa looked behind her at her overdue list.

"Well since you are looking for her" Lisa cleared her throat. "Can you bring her back here? She has some overdues..." Lumine nodded.

Paimon and Lumine head out the HQ and start the search for Sucrose. Their first stop is the alchemy stand.

Paimon spots Albeto and asks if he has seen sucrose. "No...I don't recall ever passing by her. Why?" Lumine explained what had happened days before. "Paimon wonders if you can help us?" Albeto thought for a moment. "No, there's nothing I know how to do to fix this. I don't even know if it's possi-" Paimon didn't let him finish.

"What?! I thought alchemy could do everything!" She groaned. Albeto put his hand on his forehead. "No, that's not quite how it works. Alchemy is more complicated than you think. Sucrose is the only one who knows the answer to that question because she made it. Of course, I could do a few studies but that could take quite a bit. It's better for you to try and find Sucrose because she could possibly have the antidote."

Lumine and Paimon sighed and nodded as they headed to Mondstat's side gate near Angel's share.

"Children aren't allowed outside of Mondstat without an adult...what do we do if we get caught?" Paimon floated in circles as she thought. "How about... we don't get caught!" Paimon sounded sure of herself. 

Fair enough Lumine thought.

"So, where should we start looking?" Paimon asked. "Hmm...if Paimon was an alchemist..where would Paimon be?" It seems like Paimon was putting her whole mind to the question. Lumine face palmed. "That's an Albeto question...Maybe she's looking for ingredients?" Paimon nodded.

"I mean, why else would she leave Mondstat?" Paimon and Lumine set off for Whispering Woods. Right before they reached their destination, someone stopped them in their tracks.

"Hey, ya know children aren't allowed out of Mondstat without an adult, Kiddo~" Paimon looked up at Venti, angry. "Well you know we aren't kids!" Venti laughed. "Heh! Well I'm still coming with you guys anyway. Just in case."

He gave the two a wink. Paimon groaned. "Whatever, come if you want to, jeez." Venti looked up at the afternoon sky. "What are you two doing anyways? I thought you'd be looking for sucrose or something?"

Lumine nodded. "Yeah, we are, but she didn't seem to be anywhere." Paimon made a fist. "Yeah! We even asked Lisa and Ableto and they said they didn't know!" Paimon grumbled. "Ah... Maybe she ran away after giving you the potion!" Venti said while laughing. "Hey! Its not funny" Lumine was not amused.

Paimon started tugging on Lumine's sleeve. "Cmon Lumine! If you want to find Sucrose then we have to get going before it gets dark!" Paimon suddenly seemed interested in getting Lumine's original size back.

"Ok, ok!" Lumine said as she was being dragged by Paimon at this point. She pulled herself away from her hand. "Lets go! Also, please don't drag me! I'll get hurt!" Lumine said.

"Hehe! Then be faster!" Paimon giggled.

"Uhm, I feel left out." Venti said while a sweat drop appeared on his face.

"Good! Paimon think we should ditch that tone-deaf bard anyway!" Paimon said while looking straight at Venti. "Awe, Paimon! That's not nice, he should come with us and help us look for Sucrose!"

"Hmph! Fine!" Paimon pouted. They all started walking towards the whispering woods. After about 25 minutes of searching for sucrose, they were lucky enough to find her.
