Chapter 10

After Lumine stopped pouting, she suddenly realized that Venti was holding her in his lap as Paimon and him ate breakfast at good hunter.

"Uh... can you... put me down?"

"Hm? Did you say something Lumine?" Venti winked at her and she became redder

"I said-!"

"I can't hearrrr youuu!"

"VENTI PUT ME DOWN" She yelled. Venti started laughing as Lumine was fuming.

"This is what you get for making us worried!" He put her down.

"Yea! Paimon was worried that Lumine went off into the wild and got hurt by a hilichurl! What would have tone deaf bard and Paimon done if you got lost?"

"I already said sorry Paimon!" Lumine glared at her

"Geez, did you get mad this easily when you were a child?" Venti laughed once more.

"I'm not mad!" Lumine pouted.

Venti smiled and cupped Lumine's cheeks. "Awww are you pouting? You're so adorable!"

Lumine's face grew red from this utter humiliation, even Sara was smiling in amusement! She quickly pushing his hands off of her and dragged Paimon away. Leaving with a quick wave as she ran away with Paimon chasing after her.

Did I say something wrong? Venti wondered. Ehe~ she's probably flustered, how cute! Anywayyy time to go get drunk!

"Lumine wait up, you're running to fast!!" Paimon chased after her in a rush.

Lumine's face was still red. Either from whatever butterflies she was feeling, or embarrassment. She couldn't tell. She never had any time for love because she was busy looking for her brother. There's no way I like him, I'm definitely embarrassed. That's why I ran away so fast, because it was embarrassing!! Lumine convinced herself.

"Sorry Paimon..."

"It's fine! Just-" Paimon huffed "Just warn Paimon before you take off like that! Why were you running anyway?"

"I... You saw what he was doing!!" She felt butterflies once more when remembering the way he held her cheeks and carried her. "He... he embarrassed me in front of everyone! I'm not an actual child you know."

Paimon laughed "Oh cmon Lumine! Paimon doesn't think what tone deaf bard did was rude, he just thought you were cute!"

Cute..? CUTE??? HE THINKS IM CUTE!?! Lumine was internally panicking as Paimon floated there, confused.

"N-No way!! He was doing it on purpose so I would get mad!" She exclaimed.

"Paimon thinks Lumine is in love~! Why else would you get so worked up over nothing for, hehe!"

"You're lying! How could I possibly be in love, I need to find my brother!!"

"Lumine, being in love won't stop you from finding him, Paimon thinks you should do what makes you happy because Paimon will support you no matter what! Even if it's the tone deaf bard you like..."

So... I like Venti? She recalled all the times she's been flustered around him, decided Paimon was right. Ahhh, this is all so confusing!! I haven't even dated anyone before, what if I confess and he says he doesn't like me back? That would be so embarrassing! And I need to turn back to my old height too...

Suddenly, Lumine noticed Paimon smiling with a malicious aura, and knew what she was about to do.

"Paimon."

"..."

"..."

"PAIMONS GONNA GO TELL HIM" Paimon took off, flying as fast as she could.

"PAIMON I WILL COOK YOU DONT YOU DARE!" Lumine chased after her.

"PAIMON WILL REPORT YOU TO THE KNIGHTS OF FAVONIOUS FOR CANNABALISM IF YOU EVEN TRY!" She exclaimed, flying even faster.

"ARE YOU EVEN HUMAN? THEY WOULDNT BELIEVE YOU ANYWAY, NOW COME BACK HERE!"

Alas, Lumine failed to capture the emergency food, and she got to Venti before she could do anything. Defeated, she hid behind a bush, waiting for his reaction.

So... let's just pretend I didn't delay this for like a month! 😃🔫
