September 4th, 1976

Since the first day of school was on a thursday, Y/N and all her friends had only had to complete two days of classes and assignments that first week. On saturday Lily, Dorcas, Y/N, Mary, Marlene, and Alice had decided to have a girls day since they could rarely escape the boys at all. Of course Dorcas had been sent to search for Alice, whom she found in a broom closet with Frank.

When the two walked back into the girls' dorm Dorcas had already begun telling the stroy. "I walked in on them snogging eachother's faces off!" She said, sounding discusted and mortified at the same time. "Just because you haven't been off to snog someone in a while doesn't mean that you have to hate other people for it," Alice replied with her arms crossed in front of her chest. "How would you know, I have been off doing things but you wouldn't know because you are never here," Dorcas tried to help her cause.

"I can confirm, I was 'things'," Marlene raised her hand from where she was sitting on her bed, still in her pajamas. Y/N had opened her eyes wide in surprise, of course she knew about Marlene and Dorcas both being part of the LGBTQ+ community, but she had never been informed of their liking to one another. Once thinking about this, she thought about how she had been feeling these past few years about both women and men. Y/N thought this the perfect opportunity to finally tell her friends about what she had been feeling, and about who she was, but had decided not to bother with it.

From another bed, the one beside Y/N's, the girls heard a squealing sound. Lily had been trying her best to celebrate quitely, knowing that the ship she considered herself the leader of, had finally sailed. The celebration quickly came to a stop when all of the girls just stared at her, amused. Lily turned as red as her hair before trying to change the subject, "What colors do you girls want your nails painted?" She said, taking out her bag of different nail polishes.

While heading down to lunch, the girls were joined by Remus who they found in the common room, finishing up some homework. "Y'know, you're the only marauder that I've ever tolerated," Marlene looked at the tall boy. He looked at her with a 'You think I didn't already know that. The others are just annoying little toddlers in teenage form' look. She shrugged it off before Y/N brought up that they should take a detour to the kitchens instead of going down to the great hall. Everyone agreed but they all kicked Remus out, telling him it was still girls' day and there was no time for boys on the scedule.

Y/N tickled the pear once they were at the painting and the rest of the girls stepped inside. There were house elves bustling about carrying trays full of desserts and foods. Dorcas reached out and took a sandwich from off one of the trays and bit into it. One house elf came up to them, recognizing some of the girls. "Ms. McKinnon, Ms. Lupin, Ms. Meadowes," She bowed to the three girls. Alice asked one of the house elves, "Could we please have some deserts and snack foods whipped up for us, please," The house elf only nodded, "Yes, Ma'am," before scurrying off.

Only a few minutes later did the elf come back carrying a basket of food, "Thank you," Lily nodded at the house elf before the girls headed out of the kitchens. The girls walked back up to the Gryffindor girls' dormatories before snacking on some of the food. "Mary! Stop eating all the cookies!" Lily yelled at the girl, who wad busy stuffing her face with chocolate chip cookies. "Sorry," She mumbled through a mouthful of cookies, barely audible.

"Ooh! I have an idea," Marlene yelled, startling atleast half the dorm room. "Well, dont just stand there, tell us what it is," Y/N told the blonde girl. "We should pick out eachothers outfits, make them like aesthetic and stuff, then we should go and have a picnic out on the black lake with the rest of the food we brought up here," Marlene explained her idea. All the girls nodded in agreement. They all teamed up to pick eachothers outfits. Of course, Dorcas and Marlene, then Alice and Mary, so that meant Lily and Y/N had to choose eachothers outfits.

Lily chose a flowy, floral y/f/c(your fav color) dress for Y/N's outfit and a white bandana to put into her hair.(A/N: you can change it if you want, it don't rlly matter.) Y/N then chose Lily's outfit, which was a simple sweater over a Collard shirt, with a skirt.(You can change this as well) When looking at themselves in the mirror, the two looked back at eachother with a look of amazement on how both of you could have such good taste in clothing.

When the others got dressed into their outfits, Mary grabbed the basket of food and Alice grabbed a blanket for the 6 of them to sit on. They walked down flights and flights of stairs until they finally walk towards the exit of the castle. The group was about to step out of the doors before Peeves threw water balloons at the girls. "Peeves! I thought we had an agreement, we let you in on pranks and you don't prank us!" Y/N shouted at the poltergeist. "My bad, sorry Lupin," He shouted back before finding other targets to aim at.
