Chapter 4

September 7th, 1976

Y/N woke up later than she should have on Tuesday. When Mary threw a pillow at her, she woke up with a start, sitting up and looking around the dorm. "C'mon we're gonna be late," she said while rushing around the room, looking for her tie. "Hurry up, Y/N, get out of bed, we're gonna get a detention from Slughorn if we're late," Mary looked at the y/h/c(your hair color) girl still laying in bed.

Y/N got out of bed quickly, finding all of the parts to her uniform before changing into it. She practically ran into the bathroom, doing her hair, putting on purfume and deodorant, and quickly putting on some makeup. She grabbed all of her books and homework, shoving the schoolwork into her satchel. The girl slipped on her shoes before Mary grabbed her arm and shoved her out the door. She ran down to thr dungeons as fast as she could, with Mary right behind her. The two girls entered class 20 minutes late, and as expected, they got detention.

"Sorry we are late, Professor," Mary said, as she stepped into the classroom. Slughorn didn't seem to fased about their late presence, as it happened quite often last year. "Detention for both of you, please take your seats," He continued to explain the potion they were supposed to be brewing. Y/N went all the way to the back of the class, taking a seat beside Lily. Ever since Lily and Snivellus stopped talking to eachother last year, Y/N had become the red-headed girl's potion partner.

"Sleep well?" Lily asked sarcastically, while adding the first few ingredients to the potion. Y/N rolled her eyes while she crushed up the scales of an animal even she hadn't heard of. She gave the crushed scales to Lily before leaning on the table, putting her head down on it. "I'm still tired and didn't even finish the assignment that McGonagall told us to do last week," She said, while Lily started to stir the potion in a clockwise motion. She almost stopped stirring before remembering that it would mess up the potion. A sharp glare was sent in Y/Ns way by none other than Lily Evans, for not finishing her homework.

When Potions was done the 6th year Gryffindors had freetime before lunch. Marls, Mary, Dorcas, and Y/N decided to go for a walk around the castle, while Alice ran off with Frank(probably to a broom closet) and Lily headed off to the Library. The four girls laughed and talked the whole time, bringing up good memories and remembering embarrassing ones. (A/N: I have a lot of embarrasing memories too, tbh)

When they decided to head back, Peeves had dropped a banana peel in front of Marlene and she slipped and fell right onto her back. "Son of a nutcracker!" She bellowed out, her voice echoing in the long corridor. The other girls laughed so hard they almost fell down as well, while the blonde girl had to help herself up, sending daggers in her friends' direction. 

The four made it safely to the great hall for lunch, Marlene complaining about a sorr back, but refusing to go to Madame Pomfrey for it. They sat down beside the marauders, and Lily soon joined the group, sitting beside Remus. The nine friends chatted amoungst themselves while eating the food that the house elves had prepared. (A/N: Do house elves make the food themselves or do they use their magic?? Idk man)

Sorry this chapter is like v short, I couldn't think of anything to write. Its only like 600 words and I didnt feel like writing anything else. I would have wrote more but I havent posted a chapter at all for like a week, and I apologize. It is currently 2:54 AM and I am rlly happy that I dont have to go to school tomorrow.
