Chapter 5

September 11th, 1976

On Saturday morning, Dorcas had jumped up on top of Y/N in hopes of waking her up. Her idea did work, but an unhappy Y/N was what the dark haired girl had earned from the fun. "Bloody hell, get off of me you arse!" the y/h/c(your hair color) girl said, shoving Dorcas off of her and onto the floor. Dorcas groaned while Y/N flipped her off. What a wonderful way to start the day.

Once Y/N got ready, the two headed down to breakfast. "I got her up," Dorcas shrugged before taking her seat beside Marlene. "Thank you, Dorcas. You're a doll," Lily thanked her before turning to the still grumpy Y/N.

"Sleep in again, did we?" Lily asked sarcastically, taking a bite of her over-buttered toast. "Yeah, yeah. I like sleeping, get over it, Lils" Y/N retorted, pooring herself a bowl of cereal.

"Lucky for us, its Saturday, and you know what happens on a saturday," Marlene interupted any conversations the other girls were having. "We get to sleep all day!" Y/N said, quite excited that she did not have any classes to attend.

"No. We dont have lessons today, so we can hang out in the common room all day. I assume the others will join us, but i'm not quite sure about that part yet," Alice said, popping into the conversation, from her seat in between Lily and Frank. Marlene pointed her finger towards Alice, "Correct!" she said, dragging out the 'r'. Alice smiled lightly before grabbing a blueberry muffin and taking a bite of it.

When the girls and Frank got back to the common room, they sat down on the comfortable couches and talked for a bit. "Y/N"
Lily said trying to catch her attention. "Y/NNNNN" She shouted a litle bit louder, trying to get her attention. When the y/h/c (your hair color) girl looked at lily from her chair, Lily finished her sentence. "Wizards chess?" The redhead asked, pointing at the board that sat on a table. "Why not." Y/N said.

The two friends got the board and sat on the ground. Well, Y/N layed on her stomach, resting her chin in her hands, but Lily sat down. "You first, Lily," Y/N told the girl. Lily nodded and took her turn. (A/N: I have no clue how to play chess so no details, not that I would put them if i did know)

Just after Lily took her turn, the marauders walked into the common room, James Potter leading the group. "Hello, Evans," He winked at her. "Hello James," She said, not even looking up from the board. James didn't look phased at all, though.

"Y/n/n, can I talk to you for a second?" Y/N looked up at him and said, "Yeah," then turned to Dorcas. "Dorcas, fill in for me til i get back, yeah." The dark haired girl just nodded before getting up from her place beside Marlene.

When James and Y/N walked out of the room, Lily turned to Sirius,"Whats he got to talk to her about?" "No clue," The long haired boy shrugs, "Why? You like James? You jealous?" He smirks. Lily laughed it off, but inside, she felt a pit in her stomach. Not because she was jealous that Y/N got to talk to James, but because James got to talk to Y/N.

Meanwhile James was taking Y/N up to the marauders dorm. Once entering the room Y/N asked, "Whats up, Jamesie?" The messy haired boy sighed before sitting on his four-poster. "I- I think I'm pansexual." He looked down at his hands and tapped his foot waiting for an answer. the y/h/c(your hair color) girl sat down beside him and hugged im as tight as she could. "I'm so proud of you, Jamesie."

"By the way, I am too," She shrugged. James looked up at this and hugged her back. The two friends sat up in the dorm for a few more minutes before deciding to head back down to the common room.

As the two walked back into the common room, all of their friends eyes were on them. "What'd u talk about?" Peter questioned. "Stuff," James said, not feeling the need to make something up. "Okay," the blonde boy shrugged, but Sirius and Remus exchanged looks.
