Chapter 6

September 13th, 1976

Y/N woke up to the sound of Lily screaming at everyone in their dorm to wake up because, "We can get good seats if we go down to breakfast early!"

Lily was a pain in the arse sometimes, but you gotta love her for it because otherwise every one of the girls would have slept through classes till dinner.

"Come on, Y/N," Lily scolded the y/h/c(your hair color) girl, before realising she wont get out of bed. The redhead decided to take the blankets off of Y/Ns bed so she would complain but eventually start to get ready.

Once Marlene was done getting her converse on, the girls ventured down into the great hall for breakfast. At the Gryffindor table, Dorcas was sat beside Marlene who was sat beside Mary. Across from them sat Lily and Y/N.

They got their breakfast and started to chat while the other students started to file into the great hall. At some point during the time period, Lily's leg brushed up against Y/Ns, and their thighs were touching. Neither girl dared to move their leg, though.

Minutes after the girls finished their breakfast, Alice plopped down on the other side of Lily. "You're looking a bit out of it today," Mary commented, eyeing how late Alice showed up to breakfast.

"Well, I did stay up quite late with Frank, last night," Alice replied. Marlene and Y/N shared a look, dirty minded lunatics. "I sure do wonder what kept you up so late," Y/N subtley comments.

"Oh, hush up! We were studying," Alice defends herself, while buttering the toast that she grabbed just seconds ago. "Its only like two weeks into school, theres no studying to be done," Marlene retorts.

"By the way, did anyone else here the bed from the boys dorms squeaking rather loudly last night," Dorcas says, joining in on torturing Alice.

"Girls!" Lily interupts, "I'm trying to have a nice day today," She sighs before signaling the rest of the girls to get up so they can make it to their first class on time.

"Thank the lord classes are over today!" Mary says while collapsing on the couch. "Well, you're being fairly dramatic today," Alice points out. Mary sighs, telling the girl that she heard her.

Lily, Marlene, Y/N, Dorcas, and Alice take seats on the couches and chairs as well, relieved that they were finally able to stop walking around the whole of the castle.

A few minutes pass before they all start joking tiredly about very stupid things. "Hey, Lily," Y/N says, looking at the redhead. All the girls pause waiting for her to continue.

"What?" Lily says. "Why does a duck have tail feathers," Y/N giggles lightly. "Why?" Lily says, quite bored. "To cover up its butt-quack," Y/N wheezes. Small laughs come from Marlene and Mary, but Alice and Dorcas werent having it.

•That was a horridly terrible joke, Lupin" Sirius says, walking into the common room from the portrait. "I thought it was funny," Sqeaked Peter from behind him. Y/N rolled her eyes at Sirius, "Thanks Pete, you always got my back," She looks at him in appreciation.

"Wanna go down to the kitchens and get some food? im sort of in the mood for cookies," Lily changes the subject. Everyone(everyone meaning Marlene, Y/N, Lily, and Mary) decide that Lilys idea is a great one.

While venturing down the many flights of stairs, Marlene tries to shove Lily down one of the flights, but fails. The attempted shove earns the blonde girl a kick in the shin.

"Ouch! Merlin Lils, i was just messing around, all jokes," Marlene pleads her case. "Not a very funny joke, you scared me half to death!" The redhead turns away from Marls.

Once the four girls make it down to the fruit painting, Mary tickles the pear and the painting swings open. Y/N steps in and waits for everyone else, "Come on then, chop chop ladies. Lets find those cookies!" She says rather cheerfully.

As soon as all the girls are in the kitchens, a house elf named Bubbly skitters up to them. "Ms. Lupin, Ms. Evans, Ms. Macdonald, Ms. McKinnon," It says while bowing down slightly. "Hello there, Bubbly. Can you please fetch us some sweets and deserts," Mary looks at the elf.

"Yes, Miss. Right away, Miss," It says running off. Just a minute later, Bubbly comes running back with two other house elves, a bunch of things being held in their little hands.

The girls stay down in the kitchens and eat the snacks that have been givin to them. "I feel like i'm going to vomit," Y/N sighs, full from all of the sweets that she had eaten. "Well whatever you do, dont vomit on me!" Lily laughs.

It is currently 3:33 AM when I am writing most of this this so if part of this chapter didnt make any sense at all, it is bc of my lack of sleep. Also abrupt stop to the chapter so sorry abt that. Sorry for any spelling mistakes:)

Also PLEASE ignore the fact that it is painfully obvious that the cover for this book was edited in snapchat😭
