Ted sat in his office. He had blue gloves laid out on the table, white strips coating the palms and fingers of the gloves. He fitted them on before connecting a battery pack to the back of each glove. He clenched his fingers as the strips started to glow a bright light. Ted put on a some goggles with yellow lenses to block out the light. He smiled to himself as he looked at his new invitation that spread light across the room. All of a sudden Ted heard the smashing of window near the front of the lab. Ted's look changed to one of determination as he exited his office. The six recruits walked into the lab, their guns raised and night vision on. They split up into teams of two as they searched throughout the lab. Two of the men walked making their way to the showers of the building. They checked each stall ripping down the curtains as they went along. As they got to the last one one of the men ripped of the curtain, to his surprise he was overwhelmed with a bright light shooting into his face. He instantly started to fall back as his night vision goggles enhanced the light. The other man came running over to see what was going on. Ted jumped of the wall landing on the man. Ted rolled of of him as he started to get up. Before he could Ted booted him in the head knocking him out. The other man started to get up but Ted threw a punch knocking the man out. Immediately after Ted gripped his hand in pain.
"Ow, didn't think it would hurt that much" Ted stated in pain. He looked over at the showers where the curtains had been ripped and dumped onto the floor. "Do you know how much that is going to cost to put them back up" Ted sighed as he leant on the wall. "Come on Ted, we're not done yet" he stated to himself as he left the showers. Ted snook into the main room seeing three of the men rummaging around in boxes and through documents. Ted crawled behind a work bench taking quick glances to where the men were. He breathed heavily building his confidence before he jumped out from behind the bench. He opened his hands wide which omitted a bright light that filled the room. The three men dropped their weapons ripping of their night vision in pain and frustration. While they were blinded Ted kicked a metal cart into one the men. It clattered into him taking his legs out and dropping him on the floor. One of the men recovered pulling out a knife. He jousted forward at Ted, who jumped back dodging each attack. Finally Ted ran out of room his back leaning against a table. The man pushed Ted against it holding the knife to his throat. Ted held of the knife as the man gradually got closer to his neck. Ted looked to his side spotting a glass test tube on the table. He grabbed the test tube smashing it over the head of the man. He stumbled back giving Ted enough room to hit him with a drop kick. The man fell to the floor rolling backwards back onto his feet. Blood started to drip down his face as he gritted his teeth. He ran at Ted with the knife in his hand, to his surprise Ted moved to the left kicking his leg out from underneath him, sending him crashing into the table knocking him out. Ted stood up finally seeing the third man. He had picked up his gun and was aiming it at Ted. Ted jumped for cover as the shots started to rein upon him. He made it behind cover but a bullet hit the battery on his left glove. The light on his left glove started to fade as the battery started to leak. "Shit" Ted stated taking of the glove. Ted looked at the glove noticing the liquid leaking out. He realised it was acid and thought quickly. He threw the glove towards the men. Acting by instinct he shot the glove which let of a tiny explosion of acid. Th David landed on the gun and the man firing it, it burning through the weapon and the body armour like water through paper. Ted rushed out grappling the gun and pointing the barrel skyward as he pushed the rest of the gun in the man's face. The man was dazed after the hit. Ted noticed he was dazed and hit him with the weapon two more time knocking him out. The first man had finally gotten up after being hit with the metal cart. He got up and looked to see his two teammates unconscious. He looked at Ted before he threw a punch. Ted dodged the punch ducking under the man's arm. As the man went for a second punch Ted ducked it again but used his right glove to temporarily blind the man. The tactic worked as the man stumbled backwards hands over his eyes. Ted saw the opportunity as he kicked him in genitals. The man's eyes opened wide, dropping to his knees before Ted knocked him out with a final punch. Ted looked around the room looking at all the unconscious men. He heard a smash causing him to turn around to look at his office. He went to his office, the office had been stripped bare. Sheets of paper were scattered over the floor, cabinets had been pull down. He looked on his desk. It was the map of Pompeii. Ted walked over looking at the map. The top had been circled in red ink. He looked out of the window that had been smashed. Nobody could be seen but Ted knew that someone had got away with something they shouldn't have. He walked into the main room grabbing one of the men. He held him against the table counter and shined the light from his right glove directly into his eyes. "What did you come here for?" Ted shouted in his most menacing voice. The man's words were muffled but Ted heard what he had to say.
"The relic" the man gasped out. Ted let go of the man's neck moving him and the rest of them into the shower room. He closed and locked the door trapping the men inside. He walked to his office slamming his hands on the map.
"I need to stop whoever this is from getting that relic" Ted stated to himself as he thought of a way. Suddenly an idea hit him. He headed down to the basement before pulling of a massive sheet. The sheet uncovered the blue aircraft. "This will do" Ted stated to himself proudly.
