The Blue And The Gold

Kord Industries lab basement

Ted woke up laying on the floor of the aircraft. His mouth was bloody and he was struggling to see out of his left eye. He grasped onto the chair lifting himself up to look out of the window. He was back in the basement of Kord Industries lab. He opened the door falling down the steps as he got off the ship. He lay there on the floor as he caught his breath, every breath feeling like a struggle. He crawled up the stairs and found his way back to his office as he knocked everything over on his way. He sat down in his office the daylight creeping it's way into the room through the broken window. As he rested in his chair Ted heard someone walk into the lab. Ted looked at the man through the transparent windows from his office. The man had bright blond hair, golden tinted sunglasses on, with a black and brown cowboy shirt and dark blue jeans. He had cowboy boots on the heels tapping on the ground with every step. The man looked around at all the wreckage.
"What the hell happened here?" he asked with confusion. Ted stayed slumped in his chair as he groaned trying to get the man's attention. The man heard the groaning and walked into the office. He looked round the office seeing the mess before Loki g at the bloody Ted. "Are you ok?" the man asked already knowing the answer. Ted shook his head as he started to cough up some blood. "One minute I'll be right back" the man stated as he rushed out of the lab. He came back a few minutes later with some bandages, stitches and alcohol. "This should help" he stated as he walked over to Ted and started to patch him up. The man poured some alcohol over the cut arching over Ted's eye. Ted instinctively clenched his fist and kicked his desk in pain. The man then started to stitch up the cut.
"So who are you and why are you here?" Ted asked thankful for the help but cautious to who the man was.
"Name's Michael but my friends call me Booster" Booster stated as he finished up with the stitches, wrapping the bandages round them. "So who are you and what happened here?" Booster asked as he pointed to all the destruction of the lab.
"Ted Kord and I had a little fight in here, but this is probably an improvement" Ted stated as he drank some of the alcohol Booster had brought. Booster turned to look at Ted with a confused look.
"Your Ted Kord, billionaire scientist, owner of Kord industries?" Booster asked in shock. Ted looked at Booster with confusion.
"Billionaire? Don't know who told you that crap but I'm lucky if I see five dollars in my bank account" Ted joked as put the alcohol down in his desk. Booster stood up with hinds on his hips as he sighed with a worried look.
"Shit that means the timeline is already changed" Booster stated to himself, but Ted heard him.
"What do you mean the timeline has already changed?" Ted asked standing up with a worried and confused look on his face. Booster turned to look at Ted with a concerned look.
"Ok well the timeline is already screwed so what the hell. I'm from the future and I came back in time because something or someone interferes with the timeline, and it is my job to fix it. However my ship crashed in this time and I came to you because you should be the only person that knows how to fix this ship" Booster explained.
"You can't seriously think I'm going to believe that?" Ted stated staring at Booster.
"You want proof?" Booster stated. Ted gestured his hands for Booster to prove him wrong. Booster stood in the middle of the office and tapped his belt buckle. It flashed a golden light as his clothes started to change. His clothes were replaced by a dark blue body suit with strips of gold down his arms and over his shoulders. On his chest a blue star formed as the gold surrounded it. Finally a golden visor covered his eyes. Booster stood there with his fists on his waist as he posed in the small crack of sunlight.
"How the hell did you do that?" Ted asked shocked at the transformation. Booster smiled as walked back over to the desk.
"With nanotechnology, which your meant to be the expert in. Which is what I need you for" Booster explained. Ted looked at Booster and admired his suit.
"Ok I'll help you, but you have to help me as well" Ted stated.
"Sure what is it?" Booster asked crossing his arms with a smile.
"Maxwell Lord, he has taken an ancient relic that could could release a monster that could take over the world" Ted managed to get out.
"Okkkkkkkk, that shouldn't even a problem. I'm a time cop I deal with this sort of stuff all the time. I once took down a T-Rex with nothing but some rope" Booster stated proudly. Ted looked at him with suspicion but overlooked it.
"How do you suggest we stop him?" Ted asked. Booster looked at the glove that was still on the hand of Ted. He grabbed his hand and lifted it up.
"We finish what you already started" Booster stated. Ted looked at him confused. "Ted I'm going to teach you how to be a hero" Booster stated proudly. Booster pulled out a sheet of paper and started to draw. "In the future you were known as Ted Kord to the public, but many don't know that you actually funded the hero of Blue Valley. The Blue Beetle. Nobody knew who it was but they Beetle wore a Scareb on its back" Booster stated. Ted looked over to the safe the Scareb was in without Booster noticing. "And considering we don't have that Scareb I say we do the next best thing and make you your own suit" Booster stated as he finished drawing on the paper. He moved back for Ted to look at the drawing.
"You want me to make this?" Ted questioned. Booster nodded with a smile.
"Don't worry I'll help" Booster stated excitedly. They got to work gathering materials front he men Ted had knocked out and started to make the suit.

Lord's Base

Max sat at his computer, the three relics in front of him. He smiled as he opened them one by one. As the relics opened a mist like substance floated out of each of them. The mists formed together floating in the air. Max raised his hands to either side of him and pushed out his chest. The mist pounced at Max, vanishing into his body. His eyes flashed blue before they returned to normal. Max leaned on his computer desk as he felt the power course through his body. Max looked at the relic before picking them up one by one and smashing them onto the floor. He typed in on his computer and found a file. The file was named Black Spider.
"Checkmate" Max whispered under his breath with a smile.
