Oneirataxia

But she was right there

Down the ancient forest
Under the fairy lights
In a wood of oak and may

Wild roses and fireflies
Raindrops on the grass
Barefoot wanderer

At the ruined stones of Gormenghast
Asphodel and gold and scarlet
A crimson drip at the tip of Anduril
Wielded with pride
Princess of the fallen kingdom
Dragon slayer

Concrete walls and asylum beds
White sheets with grey
She lies like a broken winged butterfly
On a barren frozen field of snow

Where did the magic go?
She asks, “nurse, where’s my sword?”
