PERCY POV

Previously....

We meaning me and Annabeth
were almost successful to
bamboozle the three original
Titans of 12 and the armies of
monsters with the Death Mist
we got from Akhlys, but the word is 'almost'you know. The pit god himself was our enemy so we were exposed and were forced to fight. My cover was not blown up yet but we have to hold the doors shut for 12 minutes..

Now......

I was holding mostly I was
not tiring physically you know,
I am a primordial and all.
But it's too much for me emotionally. Even if our battle is won the
demigods our family the gods
would cheer after us we seven
would be some sort of hero.

But looking back now I can see in every quests which were impossible to normal demigods we succeeded to snatch the required victory from enemies grasp we lost our friends for example Chris Beckendrof to
Luke Castellan they have all
sacrificed their lives for us for our efforts to get a push if only
I was with at least the primordial power I might have resisted
their death. But self blaming didn't help either.

We have to make their sacrifices fruitful we have to perish Gaia once and for all.

Thinking about this I almost let go off the doors.
We were coming to the mortal world did I forget to mention we have counted a shadow dude the anti-Hecate would guard or so as I assume.
I mean I had a sense you know.

Ok when it was almost 11 minutes then still no one was opening the elevator door nor anyone was waiting, this can't be good and that means only one thing the enemies are there.

Well I heard
a metallic thud when 20 seconds
were left oh Chaos when did I have a time sense.
