2. Visiting Day

Prim's P.O.V.

It's visiting day today, we wanted to visit Caleb but Erudite sent a message to the leaders, this morning and it said that we wouldn't be allowed in so we would have to just visit Katniss. I was excited to visit my sister though. I was also visiting to see if I'd like it there, since I'm going to transfer. I've worked it all out in my head; Beatrice is going to transfer to lift the weight of my shoulders. It's simple, she transfers, she takes the attention away from me and she leaves me with a choice to transfer too. She stays and she stops me from going anywhere without the media following. So she'll go because she is my overprotective big sister.

We get on the bus to Dauntless HQ and we are forced to stand because there is a lot of people on this bus. My mother is coming with us but father had to work, and he is not very fond of Katniss right now. When we get off the bus we are led to a big cavern where people have gathered. I spot Katniss next to a couple of boys and a girl with flaming red hair pulled up in two buns, she looked a bit like a fox. Tris seems to see her too because she starts walking towards our sister. 

"Katniss!" Tris calls and Katniss turns her head towards us and smiles. We reach the group and Katniss introduces us. "Hi! guys these are my little sisters and my mum. This is Peeta, Finch and Four." She says we all say hi then Katniss leads us away from them. "Since when is his name Four?" Tris asks. "Since he jumped 4th and they had no other information about him." She says casually. Okay, that's different. "Give us the tour big sister!" I say, we walk around and eventually we end up at the railing next to a rushing underground river. There is a man leaning up against it. We walk up to him, "This is Gale, my instructor." Katniss says, we all say hi and he leaves with some mumbled excuse. I love it here, the noise the culture and the dumb but cool names. I'm so transfering here when I'm 16 and Tris looks like she wants to as well. Then I notice it, the tattoo. 

Yep, she got a tattoo, nice. If dad or Caleb saw that they would freak! but, I guess they won't so, whatever. I like it. My parents always said it was a bad thing. But I like it. "You know i have a tattoo," my mother says and we all turn to look at her. "What?!" we says in unison. "I used to be a dauntless. That's all." she says and pulls up her sleeve to her shoulder. 

"I was a different person, back then." My mother says, "I think it's time to go now, or we'll miss the bus." We say goodbye to Katniss and get on the bus. I am crying and so is Tris so we give each other a hug. We watch everyone get off at their stops. Abnegation is last on the list because we're selfless. It's great! just great! But at least we can sit down for the second half. By the time we reach abnegation there is only the bus driver and us on the bus.

Tobias P.O.V.

I got introduced to three different family's today and did no introducing myself except the dauntless cake to my stomach. Katniss' sisters looked nothing like her but I've seen the picture of her siblings together and she looks like her brother. She says that she takes after her father while they take after a younger version of their mother, it makes sense, I've seen her father before with mine. I'm the only one apart from Zeke whose seen the photo, he said he remembers the day he traded her for her lunch, why? I don't know.

The older of her sisters has gotten a lot more beautiful over three years, I like her but she's my best friend's sister, it's weird. I haven't even spoken two words to them, yet with all the stories Katniss tells it feels like I've know them all my whole life. It's nice because my mother 'passed away' before I could ever have siblings. I have to admit she was good, the only person who didn't believe her was Marcus, and I was a kid so it's not even my fault that I didn't figure it out.

I walk to dinner and sit at our usual table where Zeke, Shauna and Peeta were already scoffing down food. Peeta is one of the only ex-Erudites that don't get on my nerves, the reason being that he doesn't act at all like one. He probably should've been amity but what can you do, he fits in here as well which makes me wonder if he's like me, divergent that is. I am too curious for my own good that's what Katniss says. Her and Peeta have gotten closer but I think they want to wait until we finish initiation before they do anything about it. I'm proud of her anyway because in a odd way, she's like a sister to me, all the more reason to not like her sister. As you can see, I'm not smart even though my aptitude test said I was both erudite and dauntless, I don't see it.

Of course, no one came to visit me. Marcus has other things to do, I don't have siblings, my mother is dead, I was never allowed to talk let alone get close to any other abnegation's and I never knew any grandparents. Basically, I was cut off from the world at a very young age, my mother ran away and I was beaten nearly every night. Over all, a great childhood filled with pain and disappointment. And they wonder why I always see the worst of people. I tuck in to my dinner.
