Am I the only one who's thinking that despite Bizarro's appearance in the beginning, they might still be leading up to Doomsday being the true big bad of season 2?

"So, your mom really let you come here? Even though my mom isn't home?" Sarah asked Jordan when he arrived at the Lang household.

"Yeah, though honestly, if some of the stories my granddad has told me are true, she'd kind of be a hypocrite if she didn't. Besides, I think it helped that I told her that your sister would be here." Jordan said and Sarah chuckled.

"Oh what, she considers an 8 year old to be a responsible chaperone?" Sarah asked and Jordan chuckled.

"Well, why would we need a chaperone if we're just friends?" Jordan asked and Sarah smiled.

"Well, maybe I've decided that us being friends was the wrong call." Sarah said.

"What do you mean?" Jordan asked and Sarah rolled her eyes.

"Do I really need to spell this out for you?" Sarah asked and then before Jordan could react, she kissed him.

"Okay, was not expecting that, mainly because you made it very clear that you didn't want that." Jordan said.

"I did want that Jordan. More than you know. I've wanted it ever since you guys moved here." Sarah said.

"Then why not tell me before now?" Jordan asked.

"Because I was scared. Jordan, you know what things were like with my parents. I was afraid that things would end up like they did with them. But, my mom convinced me that their past is not destined to be my future. Plus she also pointed out how your mom would kill you if you were anything like my dad." Sarah said and Jordan chuckled.

"I think that is an understatement. I think she might use her connection with Superman to have him throw me into the sun if I did that." Jordan said.

"Okay, note to self, never make your mom mad at me." Sarah said.

"She wouldn't do anything like that to you." Jordan said.

"Still." Sarah said and Jordan chuckled.

"Don't worry about that." Jordan said, but before they could continue their conversation, Sophie came rushing in.

"Mommy sent me a text saying that I couldn't leave you two alone for very long." Sophie said.

"Of course she did." Sarah said as her sister settled in on the couch in between her and Jordan.

To say Bruce Wayne was surprised when Clark Kent walked into his office was an understatement, but one he had no problems with.

"Clark Kent." Bruce said.

"Bruce Wayne. Been awhile." Clark said.

"You know my work keeps me busy. Besides, I can't exactly move to a small town like you did." Bruce said and Clark chuckled.

"Fair enough. But from what I hear, maybe your schedule will open up." Clark said.

"So you know about Kate." Bruce said.

"I fought by her side just like I've fought by yours and I also know that now that she's back and J'onn's paid you a visit, you're handing the reins off to her." Clark said.

"She's proven herself more than capable of protecting this city. Gotham will be in good hands with Batwoman protecting it instead of Batman. Besides, unlike you, I do age and sadly I'm no longer in my prime. I was honestly wondering how much longer I'd be able to keep going in this city, but luckily Kate showed up and now I can retire. Not that I'll be announcing that to the world." Bruce said.

"Of course not. I have to ask though, when you disappeared on Earth one, where did you go?" Clark asked.

"Honestly, I can't remember. Probably for the best." Bruce said.

"Can you at least tell me why you left?" Clark asked and Bruce sighed.

"Because I crossed a line that I swore I never would." Bruce said.

"You killed someone." Clark said.

"The Joker. And he's the one bad guy I will come out of retirement to fight, since I've fought him for years and I know that if Kate wants to fight him, she'll need all the help she can get." Bruce said.

"So you killed the Joker and that made you want to just hang up your cape?" Clark asked.

"I broke my code. I swore never to take a life." Bruce said.

"So did I. And yet when I needed to, I have killed to protect this world from threats. And honestly, someone like the Joker, I think we both know that the only way you'd ever truly be able to stop him is if you killed him and that's what you did. You did your job Bruce. And while it might not be easy to accept now, you did what you had to do." Clark said.

"Doesn't make it any easier to live with." Bruce said.

"I know." Clark said.

"Speaking of retiring, think you might try that, since after all, I'm not the only one whose cousin is putting on a cape." Bruce said.

"Maybe someday, but not right now. The world needs Superman and if he suddenly disappeared now, while Supergirl is still fresh, it would likely incite worldwide panic as every maniac out there would take their shot. Especially Lex." Clark said.

"Fair point." Bruce said.

"Anyways, I need to get going." Clark said.

"I figured. See you around Clark." Bruce said.

"Take care of yourself Bruce. If you need anything, just let me know." Clark said.

"That goes both ways." Bruce said.

"In that case, there might be something." Clark said.

"Name it." Bruce said as Clark explained the Lana situation to him.

"You're lucky I hate Morgan Edge as much as Lena Luthor does. But why would he be interested in Smallville's mayoral election?" Bruce asked.

"If I knew I'd tell you. But Lana is an old friend and honestly, Dean has been killing Smallville ever since he became mayor. Bruce, that town meant everything to my mother." Clark said.

"And I will do what I can to save it, but still, it wouldn't hurt to see if Lena would help too. After all, two billionaires funding her campaign are definitely better than one." Bruce said and Clark chuckled.

"I will definitely take that into account." Clark said before changing into his Superman outfit and flying out of the balcony.

Superman was flying home towards Smallville suddenly, his ears perked up and he heard something approaching him fast, but before he could figure out what it was or where it was coming from, he was knocked out of the sky by a strange armored person, both of them going crashing into the ground below.

"Who are you?" Superman asked the stranger.

"I am the one who's going to save this world." the Stranger said.

"Save it from what?" Superman asked.

"From you. Kal-El." the Stranger said as he held up his arm and fired some kind of blast from it.
