After he'd saved Sam and Lucy from Ally's thugs, Clark decided that it was time he paid a visit to Lena, not only to find out where her loyalties were, but also to see if she'd be willing to help fund Lana's campaign.

That was why he was currently flying towards the Luthor Corp building in National City, though he was very surprised when he heard Lena talking to his cousin. However, while he didn't listen to their conversation, mainly because he knew Kara would kill him if they did, that just reinforced his need to speak with Lena.

Which was why he took a deep breath before landing near the building and quickly shifting from Superman to Clark Kent before walking up to the building.

Lena and Kara were currently enjoying a lunch date in Lena's office when they heard her PA system go off.

"Is everything alright?" Lena asked.

"Ms. Luthor, there's a Clark Kent here to see you. He doesn't have an appointment, but he is being rather insistent." her secretary said.

"Send him up." Lena said, wondering why Superman, yes she'd figured out Superman's secret identity by now, was here.

"I think I'm going to stay, since something tells me I'm going to need to punch him by the end of this meeting." Kara said.

"You really think he'd do that here?" Lena asked.

"I think that his feelings about you were flipped into reverse when he found out you used kryptonite on me." Kara said.

"Fair point." Lena said as Clark entered her office.

"Kara." Clark said.

"Clark, what brings you here? And am I going to need to tell Lois anything?" Kara asked.

"Actually, I just came here to ask a favor of Lena, since yes, J'onn told me that Lena remembers the old reality." Clark said.

"So you know that I know you're Superman." Lena said.

"I suspected." Clark said as he looked at Kara.

"Hey, she figured it out herself, but don't forget that you told James who I was without my permission." Kara reminded him and Clark chuckled.

"Fair enough." Clark said.

"So, what was this favor you wanted to ask?" Lena asked.

"Making things more difficult for Morgan Edge." Clark said.

"Go on." Lena said, since he had her attention as Clark explained the situation to her.

"So, you want me to fund your friend Lana's campaign, alongside Bruce Wayne, just to take down Morgan Edge?" Lena asked.

"I think the fact that Edge is actually getting so invested in such a small town like Smallville is worth some consideration." Clark said.

"It does and I think I need to call Lois and see if she'd like any help with that." Kara said as she got up.

"I thought you were going to stay?" Lena asked her.

"I want to, but Cat will ask too many questions if I'm not back soon, since while she knows about us, that doesn't mean she needs to know every detail and she definitely does not need to know that Clark is in National City." Kara said.

"Thanks for that." Clark said as to his concern, he watched Kara plant a quick kiss on Lena's cheek before leaving.

"So, want to tell me why you're really here, besides helping out a friend?" Lena asked Clark, raising an eyebrow.

"I think you already know." Clark said, dropping the friendly pretense.

"You don't like that Kara and I are together do you?" Lena asked.

"No I don't. I think that Kara can do a lot better than someone who never even bothered to understand why she kept her identity secret and then hurt her in the one way that not even your brother ever could and that's saying something." Clark said.

"Don't say it." Lena said.

"You broke her heart Lena. Kara has loved since the day she met you and she was going to tell you eventually, but you validated every single fear she had about telling you and betrayed her in every single way. I'm honestly surprised that Alex is willing to let this happen." Clark said.

"Because she's come to acknowledge that I've changed and that I'd never hurt Kara again. Mainly because I'm too scared of what Alex would do to me if I did." Lena said.

"Sounds about right and while Alex is the person you need to be most scared of if that happens, I'm a close second." Clark said and Lena nodded.

"I know and Clark, I really am trying to make amends for what I did. I'm not expecting you to forgive me, but at least give me a chance." Lena said and Clark sighed.

"Only because I know that Kara will be with you regardless of what I think. But Lena, if you hurt her, once Alex is done with you, I'll chuck whatever's left into the sun." Clark said.

"I don't think there will be anything left of me for you to do that to." Lena said and Clark chuckled.

"Sounds like her. But Lena, I know I'm probably coming off as unfair, but at the same time." Clark said.

"Kara's your family, I understand." Lena said, though she was still angry at Clark for implying that she wasn't good enough for Kara and for bringing her past back up.

"And you remember what she was like after she lost Mon-El?" Clark asked.

"How could I forget?" Lena asked.

"My point is that I can tell that she loves you way more than she did him, even if she hasn't said it yet. I don't want to think about what would happen to her if you ended betraying her again now that she's actually told you how she feels." Clark said as Lena felt her anger rise and with it, she felt like something inside was briefly awakened as she stood up.

"And I feel the same way about her. That's why I was so hurt when I found out her identity. In hindsight, I didn't really think it through, but we both know that the heart isn't exactly known for being logical. My heart was broken and I lashed out. But I'm not going to make that mistake again." Lena said.

"Uh Lena, your hands." Clark said as Lena noticed sparks coming out of her hands.

"Get out." Lena said.

"Lena." Clark said.

"I mean Clark, get out and I'll be telling Kara about this little chat." Lena said as she proceeded to kick Superman out of her office before she looked down at her hands to see that the sparks were gone before wondering what the hell had happened to her. She definitely felt different, but she didn't know why. But she was going to find out.
