Chapter 13: Remain Civil

The rest of the day went by ease actually, Kyotani seemed to be playing it cool with what happened and Iwaizumi didn't put pressure on you. Everything was good so far.

You promised to meet Kyotani out by the main gates where you usually meet your brother and Iwaizumi if there wasn't volleyball practice. Iwaizumi and Oikawa had beat you to the spot first, both of them had seemed to make up.
"Hey Grump! You ready to go?"
Oikawa eagerly asked.

"Um no... I'm walking with Kyotani. We gotta finished the projects today... last day for a while okay!"
You weakly spoke, afraid of their reactions and rightfully so. Iwaizumi rolled his eyes just at the mention of his name and Oikawa growled slightly.

"For a while?
Oikawa asked, curious on what you meant.

"Well.. we are Science partners for the year... after this term it'll be over."
You further explained.

The boys were no longer paying attention to you and were glaring past you. You quickly turned to see what it was and it was Kyotani, obviously, approaching you. You sighed as you waved at Kyotani before turning back to the boy.
"Maturity please I know."

As you were speaking you felt an arm wrap around your shoulders. The source of the arm, Kyotani who you instantly shoved away.
"What sweetheart."
Kyotani protest with a confused look on his face.

"Personal space!.... lets just go."
You grumbled as you took off past the boys and out the gate, the boys in tow.
You guys walked silently, Iwaizumi on one side with Oikawa and Kyotani in your other side. As long as no one was fighting you were fine, although it was very awkward.

As soon as you got home you thanked Iwaizumi and Oikawa to Kyotani[s confusion. Before he could ask any questions however you shoved him off to your room to finish your project. He didn't let it go however, constantly pestering you on the way to your room about it.
"What are you thanking those dill-weeds for hun? Not trying to beat my ass!?"

"Actually! Yeah! So shut up and start working!"
You grabbed Kyotani[s shoulders and shoved him down onto you bed. You leaned down to be at eye level with Kyotani as you spoke.
"If we finish before night.... I might let you sleepover."
You winked before letting Kyotani[s shoulders go and going to your desk.

You had never seen Kyotani work as hard as he did that day. You had finished in a couple hours basically but you forced him to go over his work with you to make sure it was perfect. You finished a little before diner so you suggested adding details until diner.

Eventually your mother called you and Kyotani scurried down the stairs behind you.
"Hello ma'am!"
He quickly greeted your mother before going to grab himself a plate.

"Moooomm."
You whined slightly as you went to rest you head on her shoulder with a slight pout. Your mother groaned slightly, knowing you wanted something whenever you did this.
"Can Kyo stay over tonight."

Your mother quickly raised her eyebrows before looking over at Kyotani and the three boys. Eventually she nodded with a sigh.
"Be good. You know my rules."

"Yay! Thanks mom!"
You quickly kissed your mom's check before quickly going over to eat.

Iwaizumi stared stunned at your mother before looking over at Oikawa who was just as stunned.
"Can I-"
Iwaizumi started as he looked back over at your mom.

"Of course my dear. Anytime."
Your mother interrupted, smiling at Iwaizumi, she sometimes favored Iwaizumi over her own children.

You bite your lip as you looked over at Kyotani who was glaring into Iwaizumi's soul currently. His jealously was almost his match for his work ethic when promised a reward.

Your hand slowly reached over to Kyotani's thigh, causing him to jump and quickly look to you.
"Don't worry about it... act civil..."
You quietly whispered to him as he nodded along.

Diner was next to silent, only you and your mother really conversed, making a few attempts to get the boys converse but never continuing for long. When everyone was finished you sent Kyotani to your room once again. He hesitantly left you with your brother and Iwaizumi to clean up.

"Next time he eats here he's cleaning or helping cook."
Oikawa stated, his nose held high in the air as he washed the table.

"Yeah. Yeah. I know the rules."
You rolled your eyes at him as you washed a plate.

"Do you?"
Iwaizumi raised a brow at you, he was drying dishes next to you.

"I do... trust me... quiet hours around 10 and oh yeah. Don't fuck him."
You glared at Iwaizumi which flustered him slightly. Iwaizumi looked away from you and focused on drying the dishes as your brother continued.

"Jeeze Grump... don't have to put it that way... just making sure you are safe."
Oikawa dropped his wash cloth in the dirty basket before walking over to you and pinching your check.
"Don't want my baby sibling getting hurt."
He laughed.

You growled and pulled your face away from his hand.
"Whatever Jack ass."

"Well I'm done.... you two be good..."
Oikawa glared at Iwaizumi briefly before disappearing to his room.

There was a moment of silence between you two before Iwaizumi broke it, whispering to you.
"I want to kiss you again..."

You sighed as you looked over at him with a raised brow.
"You have a kink for me cleaning or something."

Iwaizumi laughed and shock his head, leaning a bit closer to you.
"No but it's the only time we are alone..."

You smiled a bit before closing the distance and kissing his lips briefly before realising what you were doing. You were suppose to be fooling around with Kyo in your room right know what the fuck?

You quickly pulled away, your face on fire. Iwaizumi's hand went to tuck a bit of hair behind your ear.
"What[s wrong? It was good..."

"It's not that... I... I'm still confused and I'm playing with your feelings."
You groaned as you stepped away from the sink. What were you doing?

"It's fine dear... I know..."
Iwaizumi gently grabbed your hand and pulled you closer to him.

"I'm sorry Iwaizumi... let's just... finish dishes..."
You sighed, looking away from him.
Iwaizumi nodded at your briefly before continuing cleaning.
