In love with a dragon

The training

I put the music channel on and then Max came out of the bathroom. He walked straight infront of the TV and out the bedroom door. He then walked back in with Melody and they were whispering. Where they talking about me? But if they were then what had I done? Melody sat on the bed beside me. "Can you give me your hand?" She asks.

"Why?" I question.

"Didn't Max tell you my power?" She asked.

"No what is it?"

"I heal people but it only takes a gentle touch. Also I'm not that good I can only heal certain things..." she says. This explained so much but so little. I gave her my hand and she started to close her eyes and taking gentle breaths. Max stood in the corner of the room watching with his arms folded.

I woke up the next morning with Max squeezing me tight. I could bearly breath. I decided that I was going to try and slip out of his arms but I ended up waking him up doing so. "Sorry" I said. He laughs and stops hugging me.

"I'm a light sleeper" he says laughing. I smile and he does too. I get out of bed and head to the bathroom getting myself ready for the day. After I had finished Max did the same thing. "Ready for your first day of training?" He asked my walking out the bathroom.

"Training?" I asked.

"Yes you need to be trained before you get assignments" he laughed. Was I an assignment to Max? No surely not.

"How do they train me?" I asked.

"They train you how to fight and how to have no emotion and they also train you how to survive in the wild" he said. I put my shoes on and we went to the top floor.

"Why is it on the top floor?" I ask.

"Because if anyone comes in here they can't see our training" he said. Max stopped at a door that said fighting on it. He pushed the door open and let me in. It was a massive room that had these people all stood in lines listening to someone interrogating them. I didn't want to do it but Max took me into the changing room. "Here put these on then you will fit in" he said. He handed me this uniform that was a polo shirt and leggings. The clothing was completely white. Max then walked out the room and I got dressed into these clothes. I walked out the room and saw Max stood outside waiting for me. I stood there in this uniform and my trainers. "No those won't do ok I'm going to be back just sit on the bench on the side and watch everything they do!" I walked over to a bench and sat down doing exactly what Max said. But he then left me there.

When Max came back he had these black boots and he handed them to me. "Why do I need boots?" I asked.

"Because that's the uniform!" He replied. In my opinion how were we meant to fight people in boots but I wasn't going to ask. Max then sat on the bench beside me placing his hand on my thigh. When the 'teacher' dismissed everyone Max stood up and spoke to her while everyone was leaving. I couldn't hear what they were saying but then Max looked back at me. "Charlotte can you come here?" He asked me. I stood up and walked over.

"Hi Charlotte I'm the trainer for fighting and I want to start you off today with the basics" she said,"and another thing you are going to be having private lessons with me and the person you train on is Max because he can handle anything!" She smiled and then look at Max who was standing there like he was in the army.

"Charlotte stand next to me just like I am" he said. I walked over to him and stood next to him. I folded my hands behind my back like he had and we stood there looking like soldiers.

"Ok you will follow my every move!" The woman said. I rolled my eyes but then she did this weird kick thing in the air. "Alright now copy and keep doing it on repeat until I say otherwise!" She demands. I watch Max next to me doing this kick and it was funny because he couldn't get his leg high enough. The lady then starts looking at me and so I start doing this kick. She started circling around us shouting things to intimidate us but it only made me hate her. "Ok you can stop" she says.

Finally.

She then does the same kick but she turns around and then kicks her other leg. I saw Max doing it and it was still funny how his legs weren't getting high enough. "Charlotte please try them and don't wait for me to look at you before you do!" She demands. I then start doing it when I see Max fall to the floor. I stop what I'm doing and look at Max sat on the floor. "DONT STOP BECAUSE OF A FAILURE OF ANOTHER!" She shouts at me. I didn't see her need to shout but I started doing it again. Max then got off the floor and stood at the side watching me. "Ok and stop" she said. She then then did two punches in the air and a back kick. I then started doing it and when I did the back kick I saw Max at the side. He looked really happy and had the biggest smile on his face. "Ok Max now I'm going to tell you to do something and Charlotte I want to see how you react but I'm not going to tell you what and I want you to keep doing that!" She said. She walked over to Max and whispered something in his ear.

"Ok will do!" He said walking towards me. Then when I did the back kick he grabbed my ankle and twisted. I fell to the floor and he didn't let go. So I kicked him in the chest and he let go. I got up and looked at the teacher.

"Don't stop I want you two to fight because want to see your moves" she said. Max looked worried but I then made two fists. He did the same. I punched him twice and then went to kick him in the head but he ducked. Then he grabs my ankle and pulls me towards him. I fell right into his arms. I pushed him away and then did a back kick hitting him on his chest. "Ok thats enough for today!" The trainer said.

At the room I sat on the bed and layed there looking at the ceiling. I saw Max go into the bathroom but he left the bedroom door open. Then before I know it Melody walked in. "Oh hi Melody how can I help..." I started but then I was cut off. She grabbed my boots and pulled me off the bed. I hit the floor and hurt my head. I got up and she was making two fists.

What?

"MAX!" I shouted in panick. When she then kicks me in the stomach pushing into the wall behind. I fell at the floor and then Max comes running out.

"Melody?" He says. She doesn't even look at him but instead walks over to me picking me up by my collar and then throwing me at the floor. Then Max walks over to her and pulls her away. She goes to hit him and then they started fighting. I got up and as I did Melody kicks me from the side pushing me over and I hit my head on the wall. Everything then went black...
