You are tired. So tired. Not getting to sleep until 1am and waking up again at 3 really took its toll on you, but you weren't that bothered as you would probably sleep on the plane. You slip on some of Masons joggers and his tshirt seen as you are missing him so much, and grab your suitcase you had packed a week ago, allowing you to get as much sleep as possible, tie your hair up, brush your teeth and leave almost immediately. Climbing into the taxi, you check your text messages and reply to Jasmine and Lewis who are meeting you at the airport along with Debbie. You tell them that you are wearing baggy clothing and sunglasses to try and disguise yourself, however you and Mason's family would have to move around the airport quickly in order for your relationship to stay hidden. Thanking the driver, you grab your case and meet his family where you had decided a few days ago. "Taylor!" Jasmine says, pulling you into a hug, "Congratulations on the win!" "Yeah, congratulations, Taylor," Lewis adds, waiting for Jasmine to pull away, before pulling you into a hug. "Okay, let's go to the first class lounge before you get caught." Jasmine says, leading the way.
When you enter the lounge, you see Debbie sat around a table already, and you greet her by kissing her cheek. "Hello Taylor, well done on winning your Brit, Mason is so proud of you." "Thank you, but i should the one that's proud, he's in the World Cup Final!" You yawn, but try to hide it as much as possible, not wanting to seem rude. "I'm so sorry, i only got two hours sleep last night." "Two hours? Taylor, you could have stayed home, Mason wouldn't have minded." Lewis shows sympathy for you. "I know he wouldn't, but i want to be there and support him, like he does for me." You reply, causing Debbie to smile. "You know Taylor, i'm so happy Mason finally has someone doing the things for him that you do. He doesn't deserve you." "Thank you Debbie, but he does, he works so hard and always makes time for me no matter what." You answer, making Debbie's heart melt at your kind words about her son.
The flight wasn't very exciting, but you managed to get a lot of sleep due to being in first class meaning it was more comfortable, and easier to drift off. When you land the heat hits you instantly as you get off the plane, making you more excited for the football game tomorrow night. The hotel isn't far from the airport, a quick drive passed and you are there. With Mason training, Debbie decides to go for bottomless brunch with you, Lewis and Jasmine, and eagerly you agree. You spend the rest of the day with Mason's family, before heading to bed for an early night.
The nerves begin to kick in as soon as you wake up the next day, worries for what might happen during the game. Mason facetimes you, apologising for not being able to see you, but also to get some calm yet constructive words off his biggest fan. The call is short, and your a little upset, but you know Mason didn't mean it personally and that he probably had to get back to training or the prematch walk. You and Mason's family go for breakfast before heading to the beach to catch the morning sun, and then after lunch heading back to the hotel to get ready for the game. Of course, you wear your Mount 19 blue chelsea shirt, and pair it with some blue denim shorts and white high top converse. It isn't long before the uber arrives to take you all to the stadium. Upon arrival, you are each given your VIP passes, and are offered food, however as you all had just eaten you kindly decline. About an hour passes before you all take your seats in the stadium and begin to watch the game. 30 minutes in you see Mason on the floor, you knew his ankle had been giving him problems recently and this had probably overdone it. Normally, he gets right back up, and that's what you expect him to do, so when he doesn't, your heart begins to pound. "He'll be okay, he always is," Lewis says, clearly seeing the worry painted across your face, but this time you weren't so sure. You can see on the screen he is holding back tears as he gets subbed off, and it's unclear whether it's from the pain, or the little play time he had in such a huge game.
Extra time rolls around, and through the whole match you try and get your head off of Mason's injury, and focus on the 1-1 draw. A penalty is given to Chelsea for handball, and the stadium is almost quiet. Fans from both teams are nervous, Chelsea fans wanting this so badly to win the game and Palmeiras knowing if this goes in, the game is over. But it does, the blue's fans go wild as Kia Havertz celebrates the winning goal. The medals are given, and as much as you want Mason to enjoy himself with his team mates and celebrate, you can't wait for him to come over to the stands and tell you that he's okay. Hobbling over, he makes his way to you and his family, trying not to out his injured foot on the ground. "Where's Taylor?" he asks, confused, as the rest of his family are at the front of the fence where the camera crew are, but no sign of his girlfriend. "She's sat in the stands, she didn't want to give away the relationship." Jasmine explains, upset at seeing his sad face. "I don't care, tell her to come down." he replies, desperate for contact with you. Lewis goes and retrieves you, before taking you down to where he was before. "Hey baby," you smile, wrapping your arms around his neck, and taking a handful of hair into your hands. "We did it," he says pulling away smiling, and looking down into your eyes. "You did," you reply, holding his medal that's hanging from his neck. "How's your foot?" Debbie asks. "It's fine, honestly, just a ligament i think." Plenty of photos are taken, before Mason is dragged away with his teammates, so you and his family head around the back to meet him on his way out before the coach takes him back to the hotel. Coming out on crutches, Mason smiles as he sees you all waiting for him. "You didn't have to wait," he says. "We wanted to make sure you were alright, and not just saying that because everyone in the stands was stood behind us." Jasmine giggles, causing him to smile again. "Thank you all for coming, and you too Tay, well done on your Brit." "Shut up Mase, this is your day, and i'm so proud of you." You reply, giving him a tight cuddle before pecking him on the lips, and leaving with the others back to the hotel.
After completing your night routine, you drop Mason a text telling him again, how proud you are of him, before falling asleep between the crisp white sheets.
