Clarke POV
A knock on the door wakes me up. Why am I always woken up by knocks on the door? I want to open it but Sion is already on her way. She opens the door and I see the guard, who helped us yesterday, in it. Sion mentioned that his name is Ethan.
"I am back very soon." says Sion and leaves the room. I stretch myself. I fell asleep on the chair and it wasn't comfortable at all. Lexa is still sleeping and she seems very peaceful.
The door opens and closes again as Sion comes back. She doesn't seem too happy.
"What did he say?" I turn around shocked and see Lexa is awake. Her green eyes have their shine back after being like clouded, when she woke up yesterday.
Sion seems as shocked as me at first but she quickly gathers herself and answers. "Trikru and a few Trishanakru (Glowing Forest) warriors are already at the blockade. Yujleda (Broadleaf) and Podakru (Lake People) warriors are expected to arrive tomorrow and the rest of the clans the following days."
"What about Azgeda?" asks Lexa.
"No respond yet, but I told you that they will cause some problems. The ambassador of the Ice Nation told me that Roan is already on his way to Polis." replies Sion.
"I have to be ready when Roan arrives." Lexa tries to get up but hisses in pain.
"You will stay here as long as you haven't recovered fully." I insist.
Lexa lies back into the bed. "But I can't rule over the Clans while I am recovering and Azgeda won't respect Sion as my substitution until I am fit again."
"The other ambassadors respect me and if you announce that I am your replacement until you are fit again, Azgeda will have to accept me too." claims Sion.
"It could work, but it's risky. Maybe we find a better solution. Where is Indra?" retorts Lexa.
"Ok first of all ouch and Indra isn't here. She is on her way to the blockade with Octavia and Lincoln." answers Sion.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you, Sion but you have to admit that taking my place until I'm fit is very risky. I don't trust Roan, now that he is on his way to Polis, I assume, he's planning something." replies Lexa.
"I've never trusted Azgeda, not even when Roan became King." says Sion. "The ambassador announced him like he is coming to take over. How I hate this man."
"You did not kill the ambassador after he said that, right?" asks Lexa. Both of us wait for Sion to answer.
"I was tempted, but no, I didn't." answers Sion. Lexa sighs relieved.
"I did throw a knife at him, though." continues Sion.
Lexa shakes her head. "Why am I even surprised?" she makes a short brake before she goes on "Is the courier still here?"
"Yes. Should he deliver a message to the blockade?" asks Sion.
Lexa nods. "He should tell them that Indra will take over the lead at the blockade and he should tell Indra what happened to me, but only Indra. Indra herself can decide, if she tells the rest of the warriors."
"I will take care of it." responds Sion and leaves the room. A laugher leaves my body. Lexa looks at me confused. "What is so funny?"
"Nothing," I answer. "just the fact how quickly you switch from 'normal Lexa' to what I call 'Commander mode' fascinates me over and over again."
A smile appears on Lexa's face but disappears quickly. "I will tell my warriors they should let you through the blockade so you can-"
"I won't go anywhere, Lexa." I cut her off and take her hand in mine. The smile comes back at her face and I can't help myself than to smile back. We stay in this position for a while enjoying the comfortable silence. Voices outside of the room rip me out of my thoughts.
