The pack was a buzz with excitement. Aspen could feel it the moment she woke up that morning.

"What's up with everyone?"

Aspen asked Mary Anne the moment she passed her in the hallway on her way to the breakfast table.

"Nothing."

She get good as she practically skipped down the hall. 'That was weird' Aspen thought as she watched her walk away. Now that she thought about it Rhys had been acting pretty weird too. Sneaking off with pack members, running off to one errand or another. 'At least whatever it is he wasn't cheating.' Esme said as Aspen found herself agreeing with her. She had been monopolizing most of his time with the constant aches and pains as well as the growing pain she has experienced due to hosting two children in her stomach. A pack member named Jane came up to her and directed her to the breakfast room. As soon as Aspen took a seat, she started serving dishes.

"Breakfast is served this morning courtesy of Alpha Rhys. You have freshly prepared fruits, orange juice, toast, and jam. He said I'm to ask if you are having any cravings so that can be prepared as well."

Jane said as Aspen started to eat then pause and looked up at her.

"Yes, and you can tell Alpha Rhys that I'm craving his dick so he can come and do something about that."

Aspen said as she saw a deep blush come over Jane's face. A loud swear came from somewhere inside the house.

"Oh, so you are in the house."

Aspen as she finished drinking her orange juice. Just then, Annie came skipping toward her.

"Good morning Annie dear."

Aspen said as Annie curtsy at her. Aspen giggled. No matter how many times she told her not to do so she always did.

"Good morning Alpha Queen. He said to give this to you."

Annie said as she handed Aspen a letter.

"Do you know what it says Annie?"

Aspen asked as Aspen wiggled her nose.

"I'm not sure but mommy says it's from Alpha Rhys. Between you and me I think after Rhys wants to K-I-S-S you. So look out. You know boys got them cooties."

Annie said as she skipped away and Aspen laughed. Children surely were such a joy she couldn't wait to meet her bundles of joy. Aspen thought that she slowly opened the letter:

Rhys asked as I spent thought back to where that was. It's almost seemed a lifetime ago. Then it click, and they met at the waterfalls at the edge of the territory. Aspen went upstairs and put on a green summer dress. Since being pregnant she had forgone all her leather outfits and instead opted for summer stress so that she could feel more comfortable. She put on her flat green slippers and let loose her curly red hair. She was sure to wear flat slippers. Well, it wasn't as if she had a choice anymore. That's over-possessive alpha wolf Atticus had set fire to all her heels, even the ones that were just an inch long, claiming that it was a hazard to her and the pups and had gone to Footwear, Journey, Payless, and Designer Shoes Warehouse and brought her over 50 new pairs of shoes, all flats.

"Don't you think that having 50 pairs of shoes it's a little excessive?"

Aspen asked as Atticus replied.

"Fuck no, I want one of the best for my fiancee and heirs. Isn't that right?"

Atticus touched her belly and watched as the twins started to move around. A few minutes later Aspen and Atticus arrived in Forrest where they first met. She realized that yellow-feeling lights were hanging all around the waterfalls. There was also a blanket and a picnic basket and Rhys sat nervously on a blanket. He looked up as she approach.

"Mate."

Rhys said as he looked at her. She was perfection on her legs.

"So why the cryptic message, you're not going to kill me, are you?"

Aspen joked as Rhys laughed.

"If that was my intention we would need a bed. As the only way, I intend to kill you is with pleasure."

Rhys replied as Aspen smirked. You let her over to the blanket and watched as she settled herself. He bent down on the knee as Aspen looked surprised.

"Rhys, what are you doing?"

Aspen asked. It looked as if he were proposing but she wasn't sure until she saw him pull out a big amethyst ring with a small Sapphire inside of it.

"Would you just shut up so I can propose to you properly, damn it, woman?"

Rhys said as he got down on his knees.

"Alpha Queen Aspen Knight, I the Rouge King Rhys Bennett have fallen in love with you. I love your strength, your leadership, your kindness, your wolf, your determination, your fierceness, you're stubbornness, but most of all I love the way you love your kingdom, your people, our kids, and despite all the odds, me. Will you do me the privilege of becoming my wife?"

Rhys asked as he watched tears gather in her eyes.

"It's okay if the answer is no. I'm a patient and persistent man so I won't stop proposing until your answer is..."

Rhys started as Aspen interrupted him

"Yes!!"

Aspen screamed as Rhys rushed up to her. Rhys kissed her passionately and watched as she smiled.

"You know today is such a glorious occasion. We need to commemorate it."

Rhys said as he lead her don't gently on the blanket. She was finally his. His mate... His Alpha Aspen.
