Alpha Kingston yelled as he walked over to Kharma, and checked her breathing and pulse. Thankfully, it seems that she was just exhausted. He hoisted her into his arms

"She is unfit to rule...unfit to be queen. The moon goddess made a mistake, she is weak."

Alpha Aspen said as Alpha Kingston felt the reins of his control slipping.

"You fucking bitch. You know nothing of this woman or the strength she possesses. She has been abused since birth, beaten, raped, flogged, lynched, and almost drowned. She almost died at the hand of that sick bastard Alpha Thorn. When I met her and saw she was my mate and held her for the first time, she was bleeding to death. Miraculously, she had survived long enough for me to save her. If I was even an hour late, she would have died. And you think she is unfit for me. I am the one that is unfit for her. I am the one who almost didn't save her. I am the one who would die if anything ever happened to her or my child"

Alpha Kingston said as he felt her stir beneath him

"Child?"

Alpha Aspen asked as Alpha Kingston watched as she held her stomach in shock.

"Yes, you fucking psychopath. If you had killed her today, not only would she be dead, but you would have killed your grandchild."

Alpha Kingston said as Alpha Aspen sank to the floor. 'What had she done?' Just then, Beta Lyric and Gamma Liam arrived.

"Alpha is she...?"

Beta Lyric asked in fear as Alpha Kingston shook his head.

"She's fine, just a little drugged up. I would like you to escort former Alpha Aspen to her prison cell. She is to be placed under 24-hour guard, with no visitors apart from myself."

Alpha Kingston said as he walked away with Kharma in his arms. He stopped, looked at his mother, and then said.

"From this moment on, you're dead to me."

And with that, he walked to the car that Beta Lyric had driven. He gently placed Kharma in the front seat and buckled her in.

"Boys, why don't you take the scenic route? I'm sure your wolves will have fun chasing your prey into its cage."

Alpha Kingston said as he threw a vile at Lyric.

"That's a little wolfbane to ensure that she can't shift."

Alpha Kingston said as Beta Lyric quickly injected the former Alpha Aspen

"Have fun."

Alpha Kingston called as she drove towards the palace with Kharma. He took out his phone. He had one more important person to call.

"Dr. Lyn, I have Kharma with me. She had been injected with some chloroform and hadn't awoken as yet. "

Alpha Kingston said.

"Okay understood. I'll prep the medical bay until you arrive."

Dr. Lyn said as Alpha Kingston remembered a most vital piece of information.

"And Dr. Lyn, she's pregnant"

Alpha Kingston said as his hands lay on her stomach. His child was inside of her and he swore there and then, that he would do anything to protect them.

By the time he made it home, Kharma was starting to wake up.

"Kharma, how are you feeling?"

Alpha Kingston asked worried as he watched her lay in the hospital bed.

"Just peachy, you know it's not every day one gets kidnapped by one's mother-in-law."

Kharma joked as Alpha Kingston took her into his arms and kissed her.

"That isn't funny Kharma, you could have been hurt. Anyways she has been taken care of. She will serve out the rest of her days in the pack's prison. My father sends his regret for her actions."

Alpha Kingston said as Kharma nodded in acknowledgment.

"I love you so much. I can't afford to lose you or Kingston Jnr."

Alpha Kingston said as Kharma laughed

"Kingston Jnr. huh? What if we had a girl?"

Kharma asked as Alpha Kingston wiggled his nose and considered the idea.

"Then I'll let you name her."

Alpha Kingston pronounced as Kharma smiled.

"That's a deal."

Kharma said as Alpha Kingston carried her out of the car and up the stairs to bed.

"I'm never leaving your side again."

Alpha Kingston said as Kharma laughed.

"So, what would happen when you have meetings or need to settle pack disputes?"

Kharma asked genuinely curious about how he would stay true to his word

"We are in a damn pandemic. We should be keeping our distance from other Packs in any case. The covid19 virus is real, and though it doesn't kill us like it does humans, the sickness can last for weeks, a damn inconvenience."

Alpha Kingston said as Kharma snuggled closer to him.

"I love you so much Kharma. The thought of losing you is incomprehensible."

Alpha Kingston said as he kissed her again

"I love you too Kingston."

Kharma said as she kissed him again. Alpha Kingston crawled into the bed beside her.

"I would appreciate it if you would stop trying to die on me. I mean how many times am I going to almost lose you, woman."

Alpha Kingston joked as Kharma smiled.

"I guess you are going to have to make sure that you never do."

Kharma said as Alpha Kingston found himself agreeing with her. Within seconds they had removed their clothes and had made love to her until the wee hours of the morning...Kharma laid on Alpha Kingston's chest.

"So Kingston, were you serious when you asked me to marry you?"

Kharma asked as Alpha Kingston made a confused face.

"Of course I was, I still am. It's not every day a man proposes to a woman."

Alpha Kingston said as Kharma smiled.

"Then my answer is yes, a million times yes."

Kharma said as Alpha Kingston smiled. He took the ring out of his drawer that he had ordered from an online jewelry store the night he had met her. He placed it on her engagement finger. Alpha Kingston kissed her as he gently rubbed her stomach.

"So my love, you have love, you have marriage and baby in a carriage, so what's next?"

Alpha Kingston asked as Kharma smiled.

"You know how this fairytale ending goes, and they lived happily ever after"

Alpha Kingston said as Kharma smiled.

"So Cinderella got her Prince Charming."

Kharma said as Alpha Kingston kissed her stomach.

"No my love, you have transcended that. You got a king."

Alpha Kingston said as Kharma smiled.

"So my king, your queen wishes to be pleasured."
