"prongs" sirius yelled catching james' attention, "what's this! you partnered me up with y/n?" he asked handing the piece of parchment to james.

james laughed causing sirius to roll his eyes, "lily did not me pads" he giggled out as sirius groaned.

"Dumbledore told me to pair each other up, even though you two don't get along i thought this would help you two bond" lily said sweetly as she walked behind sirius patting his back, an innocent grin plastered on her face. "lily i normally love your ideas but that is the stupidest thing i've heard all day" sirius scoffed.

lily laughed and walked to her husband while rubbing her belly, "y/n said the same thing. here's the address for the place and tomorrow we're having a meeting at noon, but after that we need you two to stay there and look around the area" she said as sirius huffed taking the envelope she took out of her pocket.

"pads i promise it won't be as bad as you think, plus you guys don't fight as bad anymore" james said trying to cheer sirius up which only made him roll his eye again and walk off.

clearly the couple didn't see the constant eye rolls, little remarks after he said something, the huffs when he'd start talking and the "i really don't give a shit about what you say" attitude she had towards him. sirius couldn't remember the last time they were particularly nice to each other, the only thing that would even come to mind is when she had defended him when snape was giving him shit or the first time they met and when she was sick.

lily and dorcas put their arms around y/n walking her to the great hall whispering in her ear that "snape is just being a dick" and "professor mcgonagall won't be mad just explain what happened", Severus had taken her bag dumping it out all over the library floor, giggling with his friends then throwing her wand into restricted section telling her to go fetch and mcgonagall had caught her retrieving her wand.
"i've never done anything to him" y/n groaned, "he's only nice to his pureblood friends and lily" dorcas said trying to her feel better, "i'm sorry" lily whined chewing on her cheek as they sat down at their table. "it's not your fault, don't worry about it" y/n sighed. "hey, this is y/n" dorcas said to the group of first years they sat down with. she hadn't met the 'marauders' formally despite being in the same year as a them. "hi" y/n muttered and the group of first years smiled introducing themselves. "i'm sirius" the long haired boy said with a smile and all he got in return was a nod and slight smile.

transfiguration was one of the few lessons sirius and y/n shared, them now being in their last year.
y/n unhooked her and marlene's arms smiling at her before going to her seat next to sirius. sirius' head was down which was very unlike him, and normally y/n would make a snarky comment but since he'd gotten another letter saying how much of a disappointment and disgusting he was. she didn't want to start an unnecessary fight even though the two spat mean remarks to each other all the time.
she sat down quietly and he leaned up and looked at her probably expecting hateful words but all she did was glare at him before turning her head. it wasn't long before snape came into view, a smirk plastered on his face while his buddies giggled a few seats away.
"what's wrong sirius? mommy tell you how disgusting and foul you are?" severus scoffed, sirius rolled his eyes about to open his mouth but y/n's voice came quicker. "severus we know you're super sad about lily leaving you for james, i mean if i was lily i would too but please shut the fuck up and go sit down" she said causing snape's smirk to fade and his face flush.
sirius' brows furrowed this had been the most words she'd said to severus normally just give a "shut the fuck up" or "fuck off", severus rolled his eyes "ever since you've been hooking up with lupin you've grown to think you're the shit-"
"severus i have no idea what you're talking about, are you having fantasies about me and lupin now? i mean it's not surprising since you're so much of a creep, always knew you would fantasize about lily but cmon now me and lupin. tell me severus what do lupin and i do in your fantasies?" y/n teased an innocent smile while snape's face went red knowing she'd spun his words around. y/n had always done her taunting in the way of cryptic flirting.
y/n raised her brows waiting for an answer but instead snape turned around going back to his group with a loud huff, "that's what i thought" she said loudly. sirius let out a breathy laugh he definitely didn't want to say thank you for her turning snape onto her instead of him but he was grateful.
